Would you let a ghost control your body if they were exceptionally skilled at whatever it was you wanted to do?

The ghost is an amazing kisser, an amazing lover, an amazing fighter... hell, it's even amazing at filing taxes and building furniture. However, the ghost can't leave the property, and it can possess you only if you let it.

• What if the ghost was radically different from you in some way: different gender, radically different personality or something else?

maybe. was really thinking more that the ghost is always there, but just takes the wheel sometimes, like when you feel awkward about going for that first kiss. not fully thought out.

I think I'd enjoy the blackout option less, though see that it could work, with others saying "boy, what got into YOU last night..."

the radically different option is also interesting. I often wonder what's going on in women's minds. Disinclined to appreciate attributing personality differences to race.

The appeal of this idea for me would be the ghost having a fully fleshed-out personality. Imagine having Julie d'Aubigny or Esme Beringer in your head?

I think I'd enjoy the blackout option less, though see that it could work, with others saying "boy, what got into YOU last night..."

There might be more than one story on this thread.

Instead of a ghost tied to a location, you could have a ghost tied to a bottle of alcohol. One sip and you are out.

"What happened to me last night?"

"Which part? When you punched the dean for hitting on your girlfriend then slept with his wife, or when you challenged a chess master and trash-talked your way through the whole match?"

"I have a girlfriend?"

I always think of these situations as how they can go bad, or, at least, ironic.

Like it may start out well, but the twist at the end is that the ghost isn’t who you think and decides to blow the entire college football team with your mouth.

I would hope so, but you’ll have to do something very embarrassing to get it out of you.

This would be a must, otherwise why willingly let it happen?

As long as it still uses your voice, your body's appearance and you could see/feel/hear everything...that might be good.
Bonus points if its a female ghost inhabiting a male body and the two could converse about it afterwards...comparing notes.
