This thread is a little out of the norm, but I was wondering what type of investments the lit community has their money in?

I'm young, and looking to make my money work for me. I currently have money in stocks, and their doing pretty well. On top of having a full time job, I also do freelance photography on the side for weddings and small time models to increase my cash reserves. I was just curious as to what other avenues do some of you lit-sters look towards to increase your salary?

I'm not sure whether the 'Darkroom' is the forum for a huge number of replies, maybe the How To or the (dreaded) GB would be a better place for this query.

Ugh, I hate GB. I've seen some intelligent people on darkroom so I hoping for some input.

I don't know if this would qualify for How To, as I was just curious what other people are doing adding to their existing income. Nothing huge

My fellow Canadian do you have a TFSA? You can invest tax free in those. What to specifically invest? No clue, lol.

Yeah I set up a TFSA a long time ago. I only started seriously contributing this year, and my stock portfolio is linked to so that any additional money I gain from my stocks will be tax free.

RRSP's are the next avenue, but I'm only going to put the maximum amount that you can contribute to the purchase of your first home. I don't like the idea of having my money locked away for good incase an emergency arrives and need that money
