Greetings, everyone. My name is Velvet Bubbles. I am (newly) sub to Master Gabe. I thought I would tell you a little bit about myself since I've been hanging around the board for a little while now. (This is my first ever thread! :D)

I live 400 miles north of Erehwon. (Which, if you haven't read the books I have, you'll never get the joke.) I'm a voracious bibliophile. I'm very passionate about many types of dance, swordfighting, the outdoors, certain bits of history (and recreating them), science fiction, etc. (I'll stop here as the list is a little long). A few of my poems have been published. Working on getting a book published one of these days. I love fly-fishing. Tall (for a girl). I've collected rocks my entire life. They're a bit much during moves though. LOL Good thing almost all of them are small considering how many there are! One of my favorite gifts to receive is a (small) polished stone that is unique & not already in my collection. I like antiques - the history of some objects can be rather fascinating.

I've really been enjoying this board. :) It's been FUN so far!

Edit: I forgot to explain about the "enigma" part. <blushes> It's something a small people who have known me over the years like to refer to me as. So I used it to make an interesting sounding title. :D

What LL said ;)

Glad to see you finally posting in here (you'll be getting your own avatar before you know it ;) ) :D

<pounces & snuggles LLs Man> Hiya, hon. I've been trying to decide what to have as my first avatar for over a week now. We'll see. I seemed to be focused on corsets. LOL

Butler?

Or McAffrey?

:D

Oooo, an informed man. I might just have to like you. ;) McCaffrey & Braun. Mixed two of my favorites.

Books, sci fi and probably, since you are here, BDSM, probably other stuff too. I used to collect rocks. I didn't get the reference so there is at least one book you've read that I have not.

*smiles*

Fury :rose:

:D I knew I've been enjoying your posts for a reason, Fury. ;) Hehe. Do you have a favorite type of rock? I enjoy finding moss agates as they're not easy to find. And I LOVE smokey quartz. (If you look at my last post I identified the authors. :) )

Hey VelvetBubbles, we have already chatted briefly, but just wanted to add my welcome here :rose:

Actually like Fury, we share some interests too..particularly dance and the outdoors (and corsets!). Oh and you also have something in common with my Master...he fences too :)

Have fun :cathappy:

Instant reason to like someone. ;) LOL Any particular types of dance? The most recent type I've studied is bellydancing. But my favorite is Scottish Country Highland dance. I've actually been on a couple dance troupes. (It sounds like a bigger deal than it was.)

wow, cool!

I also love bellydancing, though only been to a couple of classes. Should do some more. Used to do tap, tried some ballroom. Love salsa :)

Next on my list is to learn to tango...soooooo sexy :catroar:

and learning burlesque really appeals!

You should definately take more lessons! Of any type. ;) LOL It's a great way to exercise. Although I refuse to call it that, or I won't do it. I don't do "exercise". <grins> Tap is the one thing that has never interested me. But, the rest look like fun! I've done a little bit of salsa. Would like to try more. But I'm drawing a complete blank on what burlesque is. I'll have to Google it.

I love swordfighting. It's the only dance I can do armed.

Dancing and fighting are so near... :)

I only do fencing with japanese sword (Iai Do, Ken Do...) but I like to watch fencing european style!

maybe its called something different there..its proper striptease with emphasis on the tease. Think curves, corsets, nipple tassles, large fans. Dita von tease is a well known burlesque dancer...her show involves her in a giant martini glass.
Its certainly becoming more popular here :)

Ahh, thank you for explaining that. I have seen it before then. You have fun in that class. ;) I don't have the body for it. hehe

Not sure I do *laugh* I have ample curves....so I am only relying on them lol

I've read a LOT of Anne McCaffrey but not the other one. Didn't he write the Wizard of Oz or something?

I love smoky quartz as well. I can't really pick a favorite though. I do have a tear drop shaped Amethyst that I found on a gem dig once that's pretty special to me.

I was actually referring to Lillian Jackson Braun who writes the "Cat Who..." series. It's a series of murder mysteries. Two of the main characters are siamese cats who manage to help their person solve mysteries. They're grand books if you want to try a new author.

I got to meet Anne McCaffrey in person! And her son Todd and a few other family members. I just adore the lot of them. Very nice people. She's been my favorite author since 7th grade. Hehe. Alas, she will probably not ever be "in public" again due to her health. <sniffles>

Master Gabe here just checking in on my lovely sub's intro thread:) Nice to see she is making friends so quickly, but it doesn't surprise me at all. A more intelligent, funny, and sexy sub I have never seen and I count myself blessed that I scooped her up before some other Master came along.

As you can see from her intro above she has quite a few interests nearly all of which we share, but I'm finding she is teaching me as much as I am teaching her, as it should be between Dom and Sub.

Have fun around Velvet,

Master Gabe :rose:
