Hi there. I'm Julie Topper from the UK. I'm 36 and have just begun writing erotic stories. I have three out so far. I know I won't make much money from this, but I do find it great fun. Writing sort of helps me sort out things in my life. I turned to writing erotica as it enabled me to confront some of my experiences in that area.

A friend of mine has just set up a website for me

It has all my books so far on it.

Today I wrote the next chapter for my fourth book. It was quite a long one and very explicit. Still it was fun to do.

Not yet. I think I will try some of my shorter stories, rather than full books.

At least you are doing it! I want to publish too. I'm interested in your perspective style writing.

Julie, convention has it that you put your web details in your signature lines, not in the main body of the text as you have done. Such things are done for those who have published stories on Lit (this is one of the few times when it does not pay to advertise).

But Welcome to the chaos that is the Author's Hangout.

A welcome  for the little newbie from the good little witch.

Welcome to the funny farm. Un-housebroken beasts abound; watch where you step. We're relatively tame here in AH (LIT jargon for the Author's Hangout) but a thick skin is required when venturing outside. Also a wide-brim hat to fend off dive-bombing shitbirds. Have fun.

Welcome, Julie.

It's a madhouse but an addictive one. Mostly bark, little bite.

Cheers!

I find, over the last few books, that I am writing in more bisexual scenes - I don't mean male bisexuals. My heroines end up getting into some situation after a four-some finishes, and the two guys have gone off home, leaving the two girls behind in her flat. When, still being in a sexy state she gets into a lesbian scene with the other girl. I wasn't expecting to cover this, but I find it is creeping into my writing. Today I wrote a chapter like that. It's strange how these feelings sort of rise up. I haven't been bisexual since I was in my late teens, but somehow it's still there in me - not that I'm planning to go out and find a womanfriend !

Writing things down, even these fiction stories, brings things to the surface. Is writing like having psychoanalysis with yourself, lol.

Welcome Julie - what area of erotica are you currently working on?

I don't like writing about anything too heavy, and certainly not anything painful, disgusting, or non-consensual.
I like to bring some humour into the story, as I find some of the stuff I've read a bit too serious, mechanical and automatic.
I also only feel able to write from a woman's perspective. I can't imagine being able to fathom how a man's mind works, lol.
My stories are very explicit, and I try to show how the main character feels when she is having sex. Often it's more about describing feelings than just the mechanics of one organ moving inside another. But my text seems to be very arousing from what little feedback I get.
Does that make sense ?

Indeed. While there are good stores here, unfortunately, many stories just seem to be a collection of how many words can be used to describe sex. Please let me know if you put up a story.

Hi welcome to Literotica. I'm a newbie too, I joined a couple of weeks ago and am a Brit too. I'd be really interested to read some of our work on the site. I like the fact that you don't seem to be in that painful / nasty stuff (not that there's anything wrong with that btw) it nice to hear from someone who seems to have similar taste. I hope you have a great time on the site and drop me a PM if you like. All the best, J
