"Great, I'm in the hottest restaurant, in town, and now my fiance decides to be late. How lame I must look. I've been here, for most of an hour." Meg Robertson thinks to herself. She lays her head on her hand, absolutely bored. Her shoulder length blond hair is pulled back into a chignon, with small diamond earrings. She sits up, smoothing her black dress, and her blue eyes scan the restaurant again, looking for Dylan. She takes a sip of her chilled Moscato, and waits a few more minutes. She looks around, this figure standing over by the bar, catches her attention.
"Now, that's something worth my attention." Her mind says, her eyes following the cut of the suit standing there.

Lyden was getting greatly exasperated by the fruitless dates. Again he had to remind himself why he was actually going out with the red haired Maria Morriel, something he did before each date.
"If i don't, i'm fucked!" he thought as he headed for the bar. Lyden had been ordered by the kin elders, the past alphas before him, to find a mate within twenty days or risk his position to his brother, the beta. Like that wasn't bad enough, whoever led the pack ruled the family's business empire. He shuddered from just the thought of losing all that.
"Hello Frank, do you have my usual?" he couldn't wait to gurp down the bottle of martini. It would greatly surpress his ever-rising frustration.
"Sir Vladmir, i don't mean to meddle, but why don't you have it delivered to your suite as usual?" asked the concerned bartender.
"Just felt like using the walk." he said, instinctively feeling eyes on him, he turned around and met her gaze.

His wolf recognised her immediately. He took in a deep breath, enjoying the subtle scent of her womanhood. She smelt nice, like vanilla, strawberry, hell like all the great flavors of the world.
"I have changed my mind, send the drinks up to my suite and tell my date i am a greatly occupied down here and will be with her shortly...and swap my martini for a moscato."
Steadily Lyden kept his gaze on her as he made for her table.
"A beauty like yourself shouldn't be kept waiting..." he said on reaching her, he looked to the entrance as if the person she was waiting was gonna bust in any minute. "May i entertain you till your friend arrives?" he asked politely, giving her his innocent but charming smile.

Her eyes widen, as he walks over. She drops her gaze, mildly embarrassed.
"My fiance should have been here, by now. But the company is welcome." She says, softly, a little timid. A gorgeous man, like this, never talks to her. Even Dylan, her fiance, isn't this good looking

"But, first, your name?" She asks, looking him in the eyes, her crystal blue eyes looking for the truth.

Great. This was one question that always changed the tides in all his conversations with people, especially with the ladies.
"Lyden Vladmir" he said honestly, looking for any reason to blame himself for telling the truth. He was prepared to hear the familiar 'OMG you're the multi-billionaire of the Vladmir business empire.' but only heard.
"Wow!" and then she sipped from her drink.
"Why do i feel like i'm being cheated?" he asked keeping a playful scowl on his face. At least he should get her name before they are parted by her fiance.
"Fiance? Damn! I really know how to pick a girl." he chastised inside.

"Just call me Meg. I don't wish to disclose my last name." She says, not wanting to further embarrass herself.
"Vladmir, as in Vladimir Industries? Good company, although very little in the press about them." She continues, until another man, about 5'8", all American looking, comes. "Hello, honey. My apologies for being late. My boss decided to be a jerk, and didn't let me leave, until about 15 minutes ago. Thankfully, I didn't have to go far, to get here." He says, kissing Meg's cheek. "This is my fiance, Mister.." She says, pausing for a moment."Vladimir."

Lyden arched a brow as a man walked up to them. He felt a slight pang of jealousy as the man placed a soft kiss on meg's cheek. She explained the man was her fiance and started an introduction.
"Lyden Vladmir" he stood and shook hands with the man.
"Shit! Vladmir? I knew it must be you. You're a don in the business world. I'm Dylan. Dylan Stephens. I've read so much about your family's empire."
"You're a very fortunate man. Mr. Stephens."
Lyden smiled and turned his gaze to the blonde goddess in the seat. He stared into her blue eyes and she gazed back into his emerald orbs. The more he gazed at her, the more he felt himself being drawn to her. Soon she became the center of his reality, the ramblings of Dylan was lost on him. He peered down at her, like he was staring into her soul, he took her in, and burned the image into his ever-recalling mind. His heightened senses could pick up the subtle scent of her wetness and he wondered if that was because of him or her fiance.

"Excuse us, Mr. Vladimir. I hate to be rude, but I am starving, and I am pretty sure you have other business to attend." Meg says, dismissing him. She turns to Dylan.
"It sounds like I need to come over and sink my teeth into your boss. This is the third time he has made me wait, this week." She says, hoping Lyden has already left the table.
"No, sweetheart. It's fine. I'll relay the message." Dylan says, rubbing his hand over Meg's arm, trying to soothe her.
"No, Dylan. I will talk to him myself." She says, adamant.
The hand that was once soothing, tightened its grip around Meg's wrist.
"I said that I would take care of it." He says, raising his voice, through gritted teeth.
"Let me go, Dylan." Meg says, obviously in pain.

Seeing Meg wince in pain, his animal side got triggered and before he could think of controlling it, he had the man hanging as he gripped his collar. Dylan's feet were dangling above the ground as his body was suspended on Lyden's grip.
"You'll do well to respect a lady Mr. Dylan." he snarled bringing his grip together. Dylan gagged as Lyden strangled him. He could feel eyes on him, apparently he had created a scene. His beast retreated as he heard the voice of Meg, telling him to let her fiance go.
"From this day forth, you won't hurt this lady or any other lady for that matter. Do you understand me?" he needed to get his message home first before leaving the weak uncultured human.
"Yes." he replied slurpily and nodded several times.
"Good." Lyden said dropping the now pale man. Angered on seeing Meg rush to Dylan side, to sooth and comfort him only for her hand to be brushed away, Lyden walked away from them and up towards his suite.

Meg, gets up and brushes herself off. She looks around the restaurant, looking for him. She storms out, not caring what people say or do, behind her back. She catches him, before the elevator comes to retrieve him, and take him from her.

"Who exactly gave you permission to charge in, and be my knight in shining armor? I can handle myself, thank you, but you didn't even give me a chance. You barely know my name, and yet you thought it wise, to almost kill my fiance, because he was getting a little rough. I was ready to slap him, but you got to him first. How in the hell did you get across the room, so fast? One minute, he had my wrist, blink, you had him by the throat."
She goes off, in this tirade, giving him a piece of her mind, she winds down, to a puzzled state, at the end.

He was about stepping into the elevator when her hand held his wrist. He stood perplexed as she went on and on. A tirade of blames, whys and hows. He stepped closer to her, so close that they were only seperated by inches.
He gently brushed a strand hair from her face, he smiled as he ran a hand over her blonde hair.
"I know you can take care of yourself miss Meg. I don't doubt that. I'm sorry for being over protective, i was aggressive and i'm sorry." he apologised first before asking simply, "you didn't expect me to just stand and watch him hurt you like that, did you?"

As Lyden held his hand over her hair, Meg involuntarily flinched, pulling away from him. She'd been hurt too many times, by Dylan's hand.
"Dylan is going to be angry, but I'm tired of a lot of things tonight. He's going to get drunk tonight, and he needs a night or two by himself. We live together, and I truly am afraid of what he would do."

"Well i have this little...um place...in the woods, and if you want you can bunk there for the night. I really don't mind and...i...promise not to do anything you won't want me to." he told her wanting to fix whatever damage he had caused.
Lyden had totally forgotten about his date, this woman called Meg was affecting him in a way no one has. He was hoping she'll buy his suggestion, the chance to be with her a little more was just too appealing to neglect.

She hesitates.
How am I supposed to trust him? He almost killed Dylan with his bare hands. If he could do that to Dylan, what could he do to me?
Her mind races, but she didn't feel any anxiety and nervousness in her heart. She felt peace and calm, for the first time, in a very long time. These conflicting emotions are making Meg's head spin.
"A couch, is fine for now. I really want to relax."

"Oh miss Meg, i do also have a couch at my cabin." he said playfully, 'I understand if you think me dangerous and we what happened down there, i can't really blame you."
Lyden wanted nothing than to spend more time with her, get to know her more, the way she moved, looked, scent, all so intoxicating. He wanted to pick her up into his arms, kiss those rosy lips while snaking his hand to her....
Lyden blinked to clear his head.
"Well since you don't trust me enough to sleep at my place, maybe you can rest here, in my suite. It has just the couch you might need. Again i'm promising not to do anything you won't want me to." Lyden said at last, after what seemed like a minute of staring at her, but to a passerby it would look like an eternity.

"The minute I feel uncomfortable, I'm gone, understand?" She says.

Geez, why am I having this sudden urge to wrap myself around this man, and let him... She clears her head before she finishes the thought.

He smiled, "understand." he replied her. She followed him into the elevator, and as it ascended, he was tempted to run his hand over her blonde hair. He sighed in relieve as the elevator came to a halt.
He led her past the suite with his date to the next one. Bringing out the key from his pocket, he opened the lock, and opened the door for her.
Lyden took a deep breath as she walked past, her fragrance was a constant turn on to his wolf.
"Please make yourself comfortable." he motioned to the couch. "What might i get you? Another moscato?" he asked heading for the minibar

"Moscato and a pair of pajamas." She smiles, sliding her heels off, really capturing her petite 5'2" height. She has a seat, on the couch. She pulls her legs up, curling up.

"Right up" he answered clicking his fingers. He picked up a bottle of moscato and two glass cup, he looked up at her from behind the bar, and his eyes caught her smooth thigh. The little amount of visible flesh was not helping his already aroused state. He could make out her little pink or is it purple panty. He looked back up at her, she had caught him staring and was gazing at him.
Lyden remained still, staring back at her, willing his erection to go so he can emerge.

"Are you jealous of someone, over something you can't have, Lyden?" Her arousal starts warming her core, her scent strengthening, and start filling the room.

"I...em...trust me dear jealousy...is not one of my attributes." he stuttered then cleared his throat as his hyper senses picked up the subtle but growing scent of her excitement. He filled their cups and walked towards her. His erection nothing now but a tiny outline.
"If i want something, i'll go for it, no matter who has it or who stand in my way, i'll get it..." he hands her the drink and as her fingers wrapped around it, he added "...Or her"

As much alcohol she's had over the course of the night, her brain starts to feel fuzzy. "If you want it so bad, why don't you take it?" She hears herself say.

Yes, he screamed inside. Lyden took a seat on the couch, very close to her that their bodies were only inches apart.
"I intend to...take, to own, to possess in everyway." he whispered to her.
Slowly Lyden placed a hand on her exposed thigh, the touch of her soft skin on his hand made him moan slightly. He gazed up at her, and slowly but gently he leaned in for a kiss.

She closes the gap between them, her lips pressing lightly against his. "Make me forget that sorry bastard, Lyden."She whispers, lightly groaning to his touch.

With a grin plastered on his face he nodded. He kissed her hard, his tongue slipped into her mouth and danced with hers as he nibbled on her bottom lip. With one hand on her head and the other at her back close to her ass, Lyden pulled her deeper towards him. He could feel her erect buds poking at his chest, her muffled moans increasing as he moved slowly to kiss her neck.
As a beast every feeling is intensified. Rage is high but so is pleasure. This also happens to their mate. Every touch, every skin upon skin, every feeling, they are doubled. Hightened.
