That's a pretty tough question; For me it means opening up to another, sharing parts of yourself that you keep hidden from others , making yourself vulnerable; breaking down the walls that we erect to protect us in day to day life.
It can be emotional or physical; from confessing deepest darkest desires to sharing dreams of the future; hopes and fears.

Intimacy is that secret little bond that connects every one of us. Mostly, it's ignored and people remain strangers, but we are all connected. When we embrace the connection and pamper it, and try to uncover how deep it goes, we become intimate. To me, intimacy is all about knowledge - for two people to establish that intimate bond, both must share knowledge of themselves and both must receive knowledge of the other in a mutual loop.
