"i assume i need no introduction," I said to the weak mortal in the seat over.I took over driving the car." Feel better already," said letting his blood flow through me.

"lestat," he murmured weakly.all I did was smile.I turned the radio to a rock station."Ill give you the choice i never had," I said.

I turned the car around.I wanted to pay a visit to an old friend.Louie....

I wondered how much I had told the mortal that perhaps I shouldn't. My experiences with mortals has taught me that they leave something to be desired. A selfish, jealous lot, them.

I wondered about LeStat. Had he truly gone? The implications of Daniel's questions had disturbed me deeply.

I turned back to the window. The night comforted me for now, at least.

Daniel shook lightly from the feelings surging through his body, he let out a choked "Lestat..." as he watched in amazement and fright at the figure before him... he wanted this, wanted to be a vampire, the power he felt himself getting lightheaded as he lost a great amount of blood.

We puuled into a secluded spot in a back alley."Ill ask you one time,Do you wanna live forever," I said with a piercing tone in my voice....

Louie

"Leave him!" I roared, landing behind them in the alley.

Thankfully, I had followed Daniel, hoping to undo some of which I had wrought by telling my tale.

My other question, as to whether LeStat yet lived, had been answered.

What now? I wondered.

I turned to look at my old friend."Hello louie," i said.I looked back at the mortal."Why he wants this," i said puzzled.I walked back toward the young man known as daniel...

I don't think he wants it, LeStat. He knows all too well the sorrow and anguish of being one of us...

Let him go, perhaps you can find a nice group of whores to tame your wild tastes. We can go together.

Reclaim your life LeStat, but not with him. He will tell our tale.

Maybe my tastes have changed,louie" i said."But that does sound of interest," I continued.I turned to daniel and kicked him,"Get out of here" i said."Come louis lets catch up on old times," i said and through my arm around his shoulder.....

I had no more reason to trust LeStat than I did to trust that my life of darkness would one day end. But, for some reason, I had this compulsion to save Daniel.

"Get out of here," I said. "And tell your tale. But never forget this night, for I shall come and ask repayment."

LeStat and I headed for one of the more upscale places, but he had to clean himself up, we needed an easy target.

"We need to find you someone to feed from," I said to LeStat. "A whore, if you prefer? Let us be on our way to where they turn their tricks, there you will find one who suits you."

Daniel stood for a moment as he asked him the question, he immediately went to respond but Louis jumped in sharply. "I do..." He was interupted as they debated and spoke. He doubled over from the hard kick in his stomach. He moved his hand to cradle his stomache and looked up his piercing violet eyes looking at him. "No please!... I want immortality, I want it!"

I did need to clean up a bit.I listenened to daniel scream that he wants it but had no intererst in it."I really would like a sweet inocent girl for right now,"I said in response to louies question.we looked around to we found one....

Daniel watched as they walked away in anger, he pushed himself up and ran behind him grabbing Lestats shoulder and turning him around. "I want it!" He growled, "I want immortality, Please!" His violet eyes wild with desire and anger.

The foolish mortal grabbed my arm.I grabbed him around the throat lifting him up."For once louie is right,you dont really want this," i said glaring into his eyes...

I glared at him scrunching up my face as he holds me in the air, "Louis is wrong! no!" I struggled my throat being squeezed as I breathed in harsh strangled breaths.

i pushed him away."get out of here before i kill you,"i said in a threatning tone."i never wanna see you again,daniel,"....

Daniel felt himself hurled to the ground and stood again but at the threatening stare from Lestat and the coldness in his voice he stopped staring wide eyed lost. Fine, he'd follow him, he'd find a way, he wanted, needed this. If not, he'd find someone else, he'd entice someone, some creature of the night to destroy him.
