I found this on CNN's website -

Survey: Many would take Internet over sex

Nearly half of the women questioned by Harris Interactive said they'd be willing to forgo sex for two weeks, rather than give up their Internet access, according to a study released Monday by Intel, which commissioned the survey.

Rest of the article here.

What say you?

I said sex just because sex>the internet, easy.

But if there are no gaurantees of lots of good sex for those two weeks, I might choose the internet. At least I wouldn't be bored.

I love sex! But honestly, I understand why people would say this. I mean, for most, sex involves another person, so you have to deal with them. It's messy and sweaty. Done well it takes more time.

The internet is much easier, cleaner, quicker and more assessable for many. Plus for many it's instant gratification too.

Personally, I prefer sex over the internet but to give up either is not an option.

First off, all the responses that were funny had me laughing! Secondly, I would prefer to have sex over the internet because either way I am being used. If my husband actually took his time with me and was loving and wanted to make love and not wham bam thank you maam, then I wouldnt be on here! But, I am on here because that is how it is! I would rather be able to write out what I am doing and play with myself then have to suffer through him treating me the way he does! Many times after he is finished with me pleasing him, he will forget about me and then roll over and fall asleep and I am just sitting there horny and unable to release myself because he thinks I should have cum giving him a BJ. BULL SHIT! I want to tell him then do nothing but please me and lets see if you get your release and if you dont well then TOUGH SHIT!

Anyways, I am going to climb off of my soapbox! :D

:rose::kiss: great thread!

LOL!

I said for most. What I meant by that was that most think it does. That's why I encourage my teens to masturbate. I don't want them getting married just to have sex like so many I know.

And I thought my mom was cool.

As to the question it depends. If I'm here in the states, going two weeks with out sex is a (often misserable) walk in the park. I just don't get the opertunity I used to. If I'm having a grand holiday in Ireland, well neither one of us missed the net nearly as much. :D

Besides that, the net is how I stay connected with Jounar.

I spend more time on the internet than I do having sex, but thats because my sex is in Ireland.

i would saysex > the internet because i'm not really wholly won over by the internet, im kinda new to it i guess i much prefer pen paper and a good book, not that the internet doesnt have its benefits :)

but i would take the sex

I am not addicted to the Internet
I am not addicted to the Internet
I am not addicted to .......
oh ok sigh I chose the net

Normally I would pick the sex, but I use the internet to keep in touch with my sex, who is in another country.

So until he moves over here, internet wins.

The problem with this survey is that most people look at two weeks (the either/or period in question) as a very short-term period. Most of us do without sex for a couple weeks at a time at least occasionally, but we'd be hard pressed to do business or even conduct our personal lives with email, online banking, online purchasing, and so forth.

Flawed research always produces flawed results.
