I sought out help from my friend CHTgpt 5. It says:

The 22nd Amendment says:

"No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice..."

Trump has already been elected twice (2016 and 2020). The 12th Amendment then adds:

"...no person constitutionally ineligible to the office of President shall be eligible to that of Vice-President of the United States."

So, if someone is ineligible to be President, they’re also ineligible to be Vice President. That means he couldn’t legally be on the ballot as Vance’s VP in the first place.

I'm glad you responded to this or I would have been left in the dark, sleepless and worried some late eighty-year-old demented guy was in charge... again.
