Quite so, I can see a story with the woman forced into it as a punishment or just plain old lustful rape, that kind of hiding in the closet trickery.

I can see it as lustful rape, where the husband wants to see his wife fucked by another man (black).

Did I miss the part where, the entire time the wife knew what her husband was up to (he talks in his sleep). She goes along with it. She replace the date rape drug with a placebo.
The wife wait until her husband leaves and enters the basement. She setup a motion detector to signal her when her husband is sitting at the monitor. The guess is in on the wife's counter plot.
