To add to this discussion, I think that it all depends on what the reader wants to get from the story itself. If all he or she is looking for is a quick get me off, then all they want to see is sex, sex and more sex. But some readers appreciate the finer quality of having the story and characters develop in the read. As a writer, I have tried to do just that in my stories. And some readers have written to me ssaying so. But as one person remarked, this is a site for new writers as well as experienced ones.
