Interesting ideas for grave markers

Where's the one that says, "On the whole, I'd rather be in Philadelphia"?

I'm sure you can figure out the ones I like, although the first one is kind of interesting.

Cool.

I want to be buried in my old school Caddie and have the fins sick up above the ground with the bulb lights winking.

I want to be sprinkled into the ocean...so I won't have one of those....

I haven't specified anythinglike that, but I've always thought the perfect grave marker would be a Sequoia Sapling or just be buried under an acorn.

Some of those must have cost a fortune! But I like them quite a bit :D

And I too want to be cremated. My ashes can be tossed in the garbage for all I care. I'll be dead so it doesn't matter ;)

There was a very weird guy who lived near me who, when his wife, was offered a twofer deal by the gravestone maker if he got his stone made up at the same time. Only catch was that he needed to included his death date. The guy was kidding but the old dude, being fond of saving a buck, toook him up on it and guesstimated when he would day. The grave was kind of a local gawk spot till the old guy kicked it a few years short of the date and the sotne was amended.

I always liked the epitaph that says:

'Here lies William Jay
who died defending his right-of-way.
He was oh so right
as he drove along.
Now he's just as dead
as if he'd been wrong.' :D

I 'd like to be re-cycled. The medics could have any spare parts worth having and then the rest could be dumped at sea. The little critters would then tidy up.

I would prefer no memorial because after one generation few are interested, however, my sister started a good idea a few years ago . She noticed that a number of relatives had died and been cremated and that they had no memorial. She proposed to her local Town Council that the heirs of such people might like to plant daffodils on the roadside leading to the town. The idea took off and last spring 120,000 bulbs flowered. It looks good and they are still planting.:)
