I remember back in time…there was a game called leisure suite Larry, and then we had the sims. Hubby even wrote a computer game, mostly text based, that I put a story to, that allowed people to read a story and interact with the story. Are there any web sites that do this now? Is there even an interest in stuff like this?

Chyoo.com allows readers to interact as authors. It kind of has that choose your own adventure vibe.

There are lots of areas where you can find some sort of interactivity with others in an adult theme. Just have to look for it.

hum...i will have to check that out. what i was thinking, you read a chapter, and answer a question or two, and your choices direct you to a different story line...this way, the story is always different....like a video game if you will...

That is almost exactly how Chyoo works. I think it is actually connected to Literotica somehow. There is a forum option for it at the bottom of the main board's page.

An author will write a story, then another will add a portion based on a particular choice or action. Then another individual can insert their take also.

I would also urge you to do a search on Adult Interactive Fiction (AIF) -there is a very strong community of game makers and players engaged in this activity.

These games play much like the classic Zork, and while the quality of the games vary by author, there are some really really good ones out there. The most common game engines for these games are TADS and Adrift, which you'll have to hunt down (I've lamented that there isn't a Flash based engine used for these games, though I have seen Zork I-III done in Flash).

Some of my favorites are Moist, Malaise (a recently created sequel to Moist), and Turnberry Manor, among others.

It's called Interactive Fiction, and story games can be found here:
http://www.ifarchive.org/ (use the main html version)
First you need a viewer.
The best of these support TADS and Hyper TADS.

You can find a good viewer for playing IF games at the archive.
You can also find a not so good application for making IF games there (eats up CPU and crashes too much).

I was there and the AIF community disapeared around 2003 with Deja-Vu's alt.sexstories.

Hallowed Eve, I stand corrected.
