Instant Messenger??

I'm currently using both AIM & MSN messengers. Both has advantages over the other. But I think that I would have to give a thumbs up more to AIM. Most often, I would have my computer on and I'll be playing a PC game. MSN never informs you that you have a message. But just before I shoot one of the monsters right between the eyes (LOL-"Doom II"), my game is suddenly paused due to an AIM message.

ICQ and MSN and yahoo I have.
I prefer ICQ. Sit it in the corner. I write. It flickers a message till I answer it. :)

I've used ICQ, Yahoo, and MSN Messenger. I've been staying away from Yahoo though...the new version won't work on my computer at all. Their support is ridiculous....4 days to get an answer on how to reconfigure and the first thing I get is "Are you connected to the internet?". Well duh!

I really like ICQ and MSN the best. I've tried the new version of MSN but didn't like it. It doesn't like to be shut down completely. Not exactly good when you're running a really low end system that's in desperate need of new RAM. So needless to say, I'll be sticking to ICQ until after Christmas :)

I use ICQ because it's what all my family and friends use, I did try to set up AOL IM but it wouldn't play ball which made me really mad after I'd spent ages filling out all the shit they want to know before you an register......yet another reason to avoid AOL like the plague

I use Yahoo Mesenger all the time , but I have got an older version ....the new one is rubbish .......if any one wants an addy for an older one pm me ok ........I also have MSN messenger , again not the new one , the older version .....I dont partically like new versions till all the bugs have been ironed out .......

I use msn and yahoo, and although its never on, I have aol on this computer too.

I like msn the best. It tells me when my emails comes in,which is great since I use my hotmail account for about everything on the net.

I'm pretty much running a full house now...yahoo messenger, msn messenger, icq, ispq, and AIM.

I have them because different people on here prefer different programs, so if I'm gonna see 'em, I need to run 'em!

I was running Trillian but I pulled it off..it did let me manage all of the applications through on einterface, but it didn't support the apps individual features (like cam and file transfer), plus it was quirky about the way it managed the buddy lists.

I probably like ispq the best, followed by MSN, but to be honest, they all do about the same thing. It seems that most people run AIM, though.

I have MSN and AIM, but I'm almost never on AIM. I've been using this new IM program that connects you to MSN, AIM, and yahoo, but it doesn't support the individual program's privacy settings. So I think I'll be dumping it.

Do you know who owns ICQ?? Yep. You're worst nightmare come to life.

I use Trillian. It puts them all in one program, get it at www.nonags.com.

LOL, well they haven't fucked with it......yet, so I'll stick with ICQ until they do then look for another one to use.

I mainly use AIM and MSN, I have recently downloaded Yahoo but I keep forgetting I have the damn thing! I use to run ICQ but it started freezing up my screen so I said to hell with it and got AIM instead.

I have IRC, ICQ, MSN, yahoo, and now AIM
I prefure MSN i don't even use yahoo but have it
AIM i only got the other day cause i know so many people that will not get any other IM program... so i accepted the devil. help
since i have them all mabey I should just get trillian.

MSN & Yahoo.

I'ts hard enough trying to manage those two, I don't want anymore than that.

Maybe I am the only one that prefers yahoo. They have fixed the bugs that plagued the last 2 versions and once I customized the settings it runs smoothly, keeps my email up to date and i like to be able to jump onto chat if I need something. The camera support is also vastly improved now.

I also run MSN for file transfers but i dont care for the interface, it takes up too large a portion of my screen during conversation.

I dont run AIM on general principle(ie AOL blows goats).

ICQ pulled a suicide act on my system last year so I havnt jumped back on it.

MSN and Yahoo. The MSN is better for sending files, I've found. I like the new Yahoo IMViroments but it's got a few bugs to work out. I ususally go with whatever the other person prefers to IM on.

very well said registered "^^", but you could also add, $25 or less, for a good virus scan program too.

Anyone not running virus scan these days, ALMOST, deserves to get a virus once in awhile.

But Mellon Celia and I want you to use MSN.. isn't that reason enough :D

I'm still waiting to be added on your AIM though.

Currently have AIM, MSN, and Yahoo IM. Rarely use Yahoo, but the few times I've used it have been good for the most part. AIM rarely gives me any trouble, although it has in the past for others I talk to on it. MSN is good and I use it more often lately, but at times it won't let me sign on. All three are good, in my opinion.

I have AIM, MSN, Yahoo, Icq. I am always on AIM and have never had any problems with it. I only use MSN because of a few certain people that only use MSN. I used to love Yahoo, but I can never seem to log on without problems, and Icq I really just need to delete as I never use it anymore.

Can someone tell me what they think of Yahoo's new version IM?

I have used both MSN and AIM. I do not like AIM at all and I only use it when I want to talk to my best freind while she is at work...it is all she can use at work. I like MSN, but the new version sucked bad, so I went back to the old version. I'd like to try out ICQ, but I have yet to get around to it. Oh...I have Yahoo too, but I have never used it. It is on my comp which is not hooked up to the internet. When we bought a webcam and hooked it up to my computer some of the software installed it on my computer....I might try it sometime.

I have AIM, ICQ, Yahoo! and MSN running. I like to multi-task. Never heard of Trillian but I'll give it a try.

If anyone is interested, there is an IM program called Imici. It will combine all the IM programs into one. Then you can talk to whoever you want, regardless of the IM they are using. I have used it a couple times (DH downloaded it for me) but it dosen't have all the cool features of Yahoo or MSN.
