Inspiration for those who want to be published

There was an interview of this guy on the TV the other day. He had sent his novel to all the publishing houses in Sydney, and got rejections from all of them. So, instead of giving up, he self-published [the cover was really good] and went around to all the bookstores, introducing himself and asking whether they would sell his book. And they did.

That's how I'm doing it, and so far it seems to be working. It's a long road, but things are going well. If the movie deal they are discussing finally happens I could be set. I have no problem with taking the back door into a book deal. LOL.
