... Simple viewing pleasure for the rest.

The first unofficial official Literotica Art Contest is wrapping up this weekend, Sunday evening to be exact, and we're hoping for something resembling a record turnout in the way of votes and/or commentary for the artists.

I know, I know; What the hell is this asshole posting this thread in this forum for?

This is art. Its visual. Visuals have inspired poets, story writers, painters, amateur and professional photographers, sculpters, illustrators and even people without any developed creative abilities, collectively, for tens of thousands of years.

Yet, when I made this cross pollination request for voters previously certain mods, and other fellow Literoticans saw fit to dismiss the request as if it actually had nothing to do with the threads I was posting this request in.

This time, not only is this a request for voters and viewers, but an invitation to the new Visual Artists Corner sub-forum in the Author's Hangout.

Now art and artists, as well as everyone who enjoys the works of their mediums and minds, have a place at Literotica.

Its a newborn forum. Come on in. Have a cigar and celebrate the new arrival. Or so help me I will bump the shit out of these threads.

I don't like artists. Unlike writers, they have visible talent, so they make me envious. I tried to be one once, but I have just enough graphic ability to know that I don't have any talent, and to make me jealous of those who do.

Good luck with the new forums, but leave me to my dirty little words.

Thanks HnH.
A large part of why I became a member of Lit is because I am a creative person and always have been. I've dabbled in many forms of art and to me, Art is Art, regardless of the medium. The need to create is the same for all I beleive. In the same way that visuals inspire other forms, such is the case in reverse.
I've writen many lyrics and at one time inspired to write at a deeper level but have come to accept that I don't have the knowledge at this point to follow up there.. songs suit me well.
I've been extremely humbled by the minds and literary talent here in Lit !!
And much like dr_mabeuse I am, at times envious.

Your thread will hopefuly eleviate much of the predudice (spelling?) that I've seen from SOME 'artists' here, and open minds as well as eyes to the magic that, for me at least, is ensential to a happy and healthy life.

Thanks again !

Last bump. A little more than 5 1/2 hours for voting. C'mon everyone. If you've been a stick in the mud thus far, now is a good time to see what the artists have done and make a vote.

Thank you to everyone who has already voted. Your time and energy is greatly appreciated!

I think that's one of the greatest compliments I've ever seen you give. On behalf of all artists and the like, I thank you. :D

Art

A picture paints a thousand words, so I see that I have another 987 to write (do I include the number 987 as a word?) And do I include the words within parenthesis in the total? So confused!
