I wonder about such things. How do insanity and post traumatic stress differ?
Insanity is a legal defense not a medical condition, but the legal definition of insanity is Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome. In the old days if you survived a horrendous event like ship wreck or holocaust, and were mentally and physically disabled by the event, you had PTSD. Insanity is conjoint mental and physical disability. But today PTSD is a bad hair day or losing your drivers license for DUI.
