Yesterday I completed my first initiation week at University as a tutor ... About a year ago, I was a freshman myself and had much fun in this week. Older students give the freshmens a look around the campus and how things work there ... I immediately signed up for becoming a tutor the next time around. And again it was an awesome week.
We started with a fake test. We told the freshmen the state had to cut about 15 % of the slots for students, meaning, we'd have to filter out the baddest 15 % ... some believed us
. But we told them the truth right after it ... so noone got harmed.
Next day we all went to town into a bar and partied all night long. And although I got rejected by a girl I liked (in a pretty nice way actually and we may become real good friends) I had fun. Being the one those freshmen look up to is kinda fun.
Thursday we made a campus rallye ... sending them over campus to see if they knew where the important spots were. After that we made a clothing line ... two teams competed which had the longest. But they were not able to top my own initiation week. Last year we had about a half dozen guys losing their t-shirts (including me) and one or two guys in only their boxers. And we had two girls only in their underwear, which gave this whole event a nice atmosphere. This year only some guys lost their t-shirts and we hadn't as much bras in the line as last year. But one guy cracked us up ... we hit the floor laughing about him. He refused to take of his shirt. He wasn't fat or anything ... he just made a huge act out of it. Finally he took it off, than immediately ran towards a big indoor plant and hid behind it, constantly screaming and shielding his nipples . Than after the event was over, he put on his shirt again and ran around saying "I feel so abused" . We had much fun ...
Working together with the other tutors over the week was great. I changed my opinion about some people, as I hadn't had much to do with them before ... and I think I made some new friends.
On friday we supported a graduating tutor at his graduation ceremony. He got his degree in business studies. It was a big auditorium. The first hour was boring ... people speaking on boring topics and stuff, but I got to see our mayor in person. Than they started handing out the degrees. When our mate walked down we broke out in loud applaus, yelling and whistles ... No other student was treated that way, we were about a dozen people and everybody in the auditorium knew we were there. It was awesome. I hope it will be the same at my graduation ... which is still some years away.
Why am I opening this thread and telling you this, you might ask yourself. Well ... I just wanted to share my awesome week with you. And maybe you have to tell some stories about your initiation week at college ... anyway ... I'll shut up now.
