I just had a question about hair regrowing after a complete shave. I have shaved my genitals completly now for the second time, but just as the first I am getting a few ingrown hairs. I was wondering if anyone had any prevenative ideas or if not what can be easily (and painlesly) done?

Try using Bikini Zone. It's a wonderful product that really keeps those bumps an ingrowns from occuring and cleans up the ones that may have already appeared.

if you want a cheaper alternative to bikini zone, try using asprin!
yep, good ol' asprin.

crush up a tablet, add enough warm water to make a paste, paint it onto the bump and let it dry.
then simply rinse off.
repeat as needed, but no more than 4 times a day.
it's a powerful exfoliant - it helps take off the layers of skin faster so that the hairs can 'break through'.

we piercers also use this for getting rid of those unsightly 'bumps' that some people get when they are pierced.

Now that's spiffy. I had no idea... Something new to try. Thanks for sharing, warrior queen. :D

I didn't get any positive results from using 'Bikini Zone' while shaving, but I may be more sensitive than others. I also believe that sweat can irritate shaved hair follicles and make one more prone to infection - or irritate an ingrown hair in the making. Especially in the summer months.

I use warm wax exclusively now, and don't have the problems with ingrown hairs or irritation. I'm clean for a few weeks at a time. But I'd definitely warn anyone away from attempting to use wax on the female labia. Shave that small portion, and above the clit daily. Those areas are way too difficult and painful to wax for most of us. ;)

I occassionally get an ingrown or 2 following an electrology treatment. A tip she gave me was a compress of warm water and epsom salts. It dries it out pretty quick and pulls the hair out.
