So I've been on Lit for a while, have one story that I posted in December of 2024, and I do a lot of editing work.

In the last week I have had so many people start conversations with me through the forums part of the site. I have never had anyone message me like this before. It's gone from 0-60 in less than a week.

Anyone have any insight as to why I'm all of a sudden getting messages like crazy?
Have the permissions somehow changed?

Thanks!

Aliens...it's always aliens :)

Seriously, I've had a sudden raft of people offering to illustrate my stories - I suspect they are bots who have migrated from another site...

The "requests" I'm getting are of a more "intimate" nature... If I'm reading through the lines correctly, which I think I am.

Some of them are blatantly obviously asking me to join in on some "fun".
Do you find it better to ignore and move on? Or tell them off?

So far, I'm using a standard response and that has worked in 19 out of 20 requests. The other one I had to block the person.

As far as "those" types of requests go, I would ignore them. To respond would invite further responses I think...

Who knows.

It just seems so random that it's literally been all this week, and never before. Where are they finding me?
My guess is that there's a cadre of readers who have belatedly spotted your story and seen your account name, and think you're fair game. If the attention is all of a sudden and en masse, it can only a network of people behind the scenes. Also, you published in Loving Wives, so there's a clue.
