Inexplicable Downloads

I've submitted a new story to Lit, and it's still pending.
(Don't use the mail-in way to submit if you can possibly
avoid it.)
I've visited my "view submissions" page, and it has a
score of 0, and 0 votes -- which is fair.
It also has 3 downloads.
WTF?
It ain't anywhere that you can download from, how did it
get three downloads?

I'm not terribly sure, but I believe that it was probably the editor opening the file. It logs the editor's looks in at your story, your looks in at your story, and when it's approved everyone else's looks in at your story on a non-unique basis.

Sounds about right. Editor previews count as views even before it ispublished. And then it is marked as approved for a while before appearing on the New Stories list, and thje real traffic starts to pour in.
