Mr. Sulu has heralded the end of the boycott. "Today, the state senate leadership, in close consultation with Indiana business leaders, fashioned a "fix" to the Religious Freedom and Restoration Act. The amendment states specifically that the law does NOT authorize anyone to refuse to provide services, facilities, public accommodations, goods, employment, or housing to anyone on the basis of certain characteristics, including sexual orientation and gender identity. While this is not the comprehensive anti-discrimination bill many want, it remains historic because it is the first time in Indiana state history that sexual orientation and gender identity appear within the context of a law concerning non-discrimination in that state. I am confident that Indiana ultimately will join many other states to specifically protect LGBTs from discrimination, and I call upon the Indiana legislature to take that next important step."

I do love it when a plan comes together.

Conservative Christians were absolutely, positively routed in Indiana.

They wanted a legal fig leaf to bash homos, now they have the exact opposite law on the books after unprecedented public backlash.

My understanding is the new changes state that if a county already has anti discrimination ordinances, this new mess will not supersede county ordinances, which would normally be the case, when state law supersedes local rule. My understanding is also that if a county doesn't have any ordinances related to discriminatory practices, then the original stale law will be the rule of law. So the original comcerms will remain!! INDIANA'S CONSERVATIVES AND GOVERNOR STILL CAN'T GET IT RIGHT!!! Ultimately, All this because the state was stopped from banning gay marriage.

Queers are scary. They do stuff in mens' butts. Ask any Lit conservative.

Now which gay couple is going to walk into Memories Pizza in Walkerton and ask for a dozen Hawaiian for their wedding reception?

The owners retired today. They just raised a half million dollars on a GoFundMe campaign.

Last I read folks had donated over $500K to the owners unsolicited, simply in support of their stand...

...probably enough to allow them to totally stop doing business with individuals they choose not to do business with, like bozos who love to dick married women behind their husbands' backs.

That's not all that dissimilar to what hetero's do in women's butts while secretly wishing they were men's butts, regardless of political affiliation.
