Indiana Disabled Vet Looking for Friends

I have no idea if this is the correct forum or correct way to introduce myself but I saw a similar thread and thought I'd at least give it a try.

I am originally from Alabama, spent a considerable amount of time in Middle Tennessee and currently live in Central Indiana. My wife filed for divorce last year while I was in Alabama visiting my family. I won't go into a sob story, but it was a total surprise to only one person...me. This after 20 years of wedded bliss and three sons. I'm retired from the Army and a disabled vet. I was in the Army from 70-94, all of it on active duty.

It's been a pretty damn lonesome year and I'd like to do something about it. I'm not a drinker so it's kind of hard to meet people in a place you don't know anyone. If anybody is interested please drop me a note.

Thanks Cookie, I loved my time in your part of the world. I also spent a lot of time on the coast of Maine, so I do indeed love lighthouses. Unfortunately that is another thing I lost in the divorce, all my lighthouse paintings, pictures and replicas.

I came here a year ago after reading the stories for a year before that. And I have just became a fixture around here. LOL.

I have had my ups and downs on the board, but for the most part have very much enjoyed being here.
