Index/Category Trouble?

Hey, does anyone else have trouble browsing through the individual category pages? I realize that this would have to be brought to Manu, but I thought I'd ask others to see if I'm not the only one with the problem first.

Essentially, when I cruise to a given category page (let's say, Erotic Couplings), I can either go to the first page by selecting "A," or by selecting pretty much any other page I wind up at the very last page of story titles. The drop-down for page numbers doesn't really seem to work, either.

So is it just me? Is this a known problem with a browser type (Firefox for me) or anything? Or should I contact Manu?

Just tried it in IE, Chrome, and Firefox and everything seems to be working fine.

In fact, it's working far better than the last time I used it. When you click a letter, it actually takes you to the page where that letter starts, instead of an outdated page link that refers to where the letter used to start before many more stories were added to the category.

The dropdown is working fine in all three browsers as well.

Don't know what could be causing the problem for you.

I just checked, and I think I'm having the same problems (using Safari on a Mac).

I went to romance, clicked on "browse all romance stories," and was directed to page 116, which appears to be the last page. I clicked on the "browse all romance stories" link from the main page many times, and each time was directed to page 116.

Things get weirder after this. Sometimes from page 116, if I click on another page number, I get something like this:

http://www.literotica.com/c/adult-romance/116-page?page=103

and it sends me back to page 116. Note that when I just clicked directly on that link, it sent me to page 103. But I swear, that "116-page?page=103" ending kept sending me to 103 when I first tried it.

Other times, however, I'll click on page 103 from the 116 page and the redirect will work, sending me to the correct page.

I've tried it about ten times over the last several minutes, and it works only about fifty percent of the time.

Is any of this what you are talking about?

EDIT: And of course now I just tried the "browse random stories" page once more, and finally got sent to a non-116 page. Weird.

Tatyana, that's exactly what I'm talking about. But Dark over there isn't having the same problem, which makes me wonder if it's on our end and not a problem for the site. Hrm.

It could also have something to do with server overload on their end from what Tat described.

I've been hit or miss. A couple of times in the last week I have had that issue, but at other times its as Dark said better than ever. Might just be bugs.
