do you owe or do you get money back? if you get money back, are you going to be kind to yourself and treat yourself to what ever you want? if you owe, how do you feel about that?

Getting it all back, and I'm spoiling the hell out of myself this year. :)

Refund!!!Refund!!!Refund!!!

We are getting around $2300 back state and federal combined and I am redo the kitchen and bathroom floors getting a new stove and dishwaher and repainting both bathrooms.

Since my honey and I can do all the work labor is free we just have to buy the materials.

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

I owe, I owe, I always owe, damnit

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

You don't really want to know what i think about it.

Refund! Woooohoooooooo :)

It all goes into the bank for the kiddie's college fund

Yes, this is a serious post...

My mother says I should be getting everything back, but I've never done taxes before.

Where do I get the forms?

Guess my goldfish didn't count or maybe they figured I didn't need all the money I made :(

In the past I got a refund, not sure about this year. If I get a refund, it will go to the support group that has helped me so much, we don't get much funding. In the past, refund went to something special for my son, last year it went on a trip to see my dad.

Got stuff together this weekend for Monday tax appt. Did 1040 real quick to see damage & figured I owe around $2000.

Accountant figures I have $9000 refund coming. Difference is losses to my business. (No, I am NOT an accountant!)

I'm using the refund to take remedial math courses.

I love income tax time! I haven't figured it out yet, but last year I got back $2200, and it should be about the same this year. I will probably blow about half of it on fun stuff and sack the other half away.

I'm getting a refund....

And I'm going to Disney World!!!! (seriously). Woooohoooooo!!

well for the first time in 4 years............

I am getting money back, woo hoo, a refund.

The money I get back will be my "fun" money. Not going to spend it all in one place either.......might go and buy some stuff that I would not otherwise have the "extra" money to buy, just have not decided what I am gonna do with it. Might take a trip somewhere or something, undecided.

You are all killing me!

I am a CPA (although not practicing in public accounting at the moment) and you are all just killing me!!! You should NEVER be happy about getting a refund- it just means you fucked up and lent Uncle Sam your money for free during the year! You always want to owe money come April 15.

Any of you people who like refunds so much, send me your excess tax payments all during 2001. I'll give your exact contributions back to you next May, 2002. No interest. My money in the meantime to do with what I want. Like that idea, do you? Didn't think so. Then don't hand it over to Uncle Sam, either.

Don't tell me you aren't grown up enough to save money on your own, either. Being a rotten money manager is no excuse for lending money for free to Uncle Sam. Get help learning to budget/save so you don't use Uncle Sam as your bank. A real bank will at least pay you minimal interest on a savings account.

I am actually very happy about my refund of about 3000 i need a new car!
