I was wondering if anyone knew any good incest stories or any good incest writers?

Yes

There are shitloads. Look at any of the other fora on this topic to find them. If you're into bro-sis stories I recommend seeking out chargergirl's stories. Guaranteed to make you cum ;)

It depends on what you like. I've just submitted a few and got some very positive feedback for my first post.

Try mine

Summer of discovery
10 chapters. Twin brother and sister, lightning, empaths, boyfriends, girlfriends, cousin, etc

Generally, it's considered good form to announce that the story you are pimping is your own work.
So I guess it would also not be "good form" if I told you to go to hell? So I won't. Thanks for your advice. BTW, where can I find a good Discussion Board Etiquette for Dummies book? It would fit very nicely on my bookshelf next to the Ask Me if I Give a Shit collection. - Oh yeah, I almost forgot, in case anyone's confused, I wrote the previous five sentences... and this one.

VertigoJ an Australian is I think by some distance the best writer in this category. In fact his plotting, character development and especially his dialogue are all so good that one can almost forget the category (and its issues)

Jereme, to my great delight, there are no 'good' incest stories on lit. The basic idea is anathema to everything the site is focussing on.

Writers with limited talent use the category to avoid having to create a story of why over-18's got into bed. The age-restriction happily ensures we only get adult fairy tales.

lustn4sis, there are loads of other sites where your proclivity is well catered for. Just leave us in our innocence.

That's nice.

What other categories are there just to shuffle off the talentless hacks who can't write away in a corner where only the unsophisticated venture to read?

Um, gee, Elfin. I guess I'd have to disagree with you once again. If the idea is anathema, then why do they have a category for it. Why do they allow it?

BTW, to the OP: I'm not a huge fan of incest either and certainly don't seek it out. However, before I wrote my first story, I was checking out stories on the favorites lists, trying to see what people here liked to read, and I came across youbadboy. He writes mostly incest, and I've enjoyed much of what he's written. While not technically perfect, he does have quite a knack for storytelling and is a very accomplished tease.

I don't follow.

It's like this -

A story is a plot built up around good development of story and characters. Not "I porked my sister and she was great." There are thousands of those "fantisy" stories posted on Lit. Very few if any are well written and come to the level of true, readble literature.

I cannot, off the top of my head, think of a single good, seasoned writer on Lit who bothers to write those kinds of stories. They are fucking boring, predictable and childish.

Oh, I think seasoned writers will dip into categories like this just to see what can be done with them. I've done so with Incest and Loving Wives myself--once each--just to see if I thoght something could be made with the category. And I was pleased with the results/reader response each time. I don't think it's really the category (although incest personally turns me off) or the specific proclivity itself that is "bad"--more the expectations of many of the readers gravitating there and prostitution of writers eager to satisfy that expectation minimally.

Varian P. has an Incest story in the current Earth Day Contest ("Lost"), which I think is very good indeed.

Yes, it is.

The closed mindedness here amazes me. I thought this place was supposed to be the epitome of sexual acceptance. Maybe the rules are different for Story Feedback, though, eh?

The same can be said about anything though:

I fell in love, fucked her and she was great
I took over her mind, fucked her and she was great
I tied her up, fucked her and she was great
I watched her fuck my friends and it was great
I raped her and she was great
I went to another planet, fucked her and it was great

And so on and so on.

I cannot, off the top of my head, think of a single good, seasoned writer on Lit who bothers to write those kinds of stories.

How utterly irrelevant.

They are fucking boring, predictable and childish.

Unless you've looked several hundred incest stories your judgments seem far too hasty. There are like 16,000 posted on Lit. Even from the few I've read some are very good. Then again some really suck. But that's true for every topic.

I'm not to sure how well seasoned I am or for that matter how good a writer I am, but I find the category a refreshing change of pace ever so often. I tried the younger set with "Sisters" and the older with "Sister, Sister". It's like any other category, you get out what you put in. You put a decent plot and few solid characters out there and the readers will eat it up.

It's not my cup of tea normally but it has it's share of good writers. Granted they are in the minority but they are there. Trying new things and finding ways to make them work is what writing is all about.

Just my .02 cents

The quickest way to get a list of good stories of any category is to simply use the Literotica story advanced search feature. The criteria you specify can be as narrow or broad as you like and the result will always be a decent list of stories for you to choose from. Mark the hot only box and you'll filter out a lot of crap and find some good reads. As a bonus, you won't have the critic gods telling you that you're an idiot for choosing incest as your personal fetish or them preaching to you about what constitutes good erotic writing.

Elle, I don't disagree with you often. To paint one category with such a broad brush is unlike you.

While I will agree with you, I am a writer with limited talent, I didn't use the category to avoid "Why my characters got into bed" in my Montana Summer series. Actually, I was originally going to put it in Erotic Couplings, but another writer, and one with a lot more experience than I, suggested that because the two main characters were second cousins, that the story belonged in Incest/Taboo.

That's true, Tx. But the lion's share of the stories listed in that Cat are poorly written, adolecent fantasies written after some idiot sniffed his mother's/sister's panties in the wash or something.

I just can't get into that.

Since you're having a hard time thinking of good writers that bother to submit "those kinds of stories", I thought I'd help you out. Go to http://www.literotica.com:81/stories/favoritesportal.php

There you'll find a list of Literotica's 250 most favorited authors. 18 of the first 20 that I got through have submitted stories in the Incest category. I'm guessing easily over 75% of them have submitted at least 1 incest story.

Now, look over to your right on the same page and you'll see the 100 Favorited Stories list. 16 of the first 20 are Incest stories. (Doing a quick read through the list, my estimation is that 50% are about incest.)

Now go to the Most Read Stories on Lit list: http://www.literotica.com/stories/category_toplist.php?type=story&reads=1

16 of the top 20 most read stories are guess what? Yup, incest stories.

There's a HUGE audience for the genre. If you log onto the lit chat, at any given time at least 50% of the people there are in the Family area.

Believe what you want, but this site is for horny people who like to get off reading whatever happens to turn them on the most at the moment. For a lot of people that happens to be incest. Sorry, but when I think of a Lit reader, I imagine someone with one hand down their pants and the other on the keyboard. I don't imagine them sitting around in smoking jackets sipping wine discussing how absolutely brilliant or awful a particular author or story is. If people actually cared more about the writing then their own satisfaction, authors wouldn't be begging for feedback all the time, it would be pouring in. In reality, readers are just so anxious to get off they jump from story to story and very few post feedback.

Starrkers was right on in saying "define good." It's all subjective. So post the stories and/or authors you think are good or STFU. You personally not liking the category is completely irrelevant to the OP.
