Well, getting drawn together through the daughters grief is the first one that springs to mind. She's really low, and he provides support, lots of hugs and all that.
Maybe she has a really bad day/evening and comes to his bedroom, crying, and just wants a hug. As they draw closer and closer over time together, each begins to get aroused and gives themselves a hard time about it, etc, etc.
That would slowly and eventually lead into them making love.
The other idea that springs to mind is the father being a real outdoors type. The shower's busted, but he just washes and swims in the river nearby, that kind of guy. If she was raised by her mother, she'd have missed growing before his eyes. He'd be awkward but loving, and they'd probably begin the first few weeks kind of revisiting those times they were apart. He'd buy her kiddy treats like ice cream when they went out. He'd cite "Hey, I never got to buy you ice cream before" and things like that. He'd treat her many years younger than she actually was (18 or over on this site), and she'd probably go along with it, realizing she wish she had experienced being spoiled by her daddy.
She'd probably sit on his lap, let him push her on the swings, etc. It would be out of place in any other situation, but the time apart, mothers' death, and privacy of living in the country would foster that type of rekindling.

Depending on the tone of your story (if you want, for example, to portray the relationship in a non-coerced, almost romantic way), I don't think it will be too difficult at all.
I think with the setup you have laid down, it seems natural that the story could take a turn toward an erotic interlude. An older man living alone, only to be joined by a budding young woman (his daughter, as fate would have it). Over time, they become comfortable living with each other. And while they are getting to know each other, they may also feel a sexual attraction to each other. If this were just a regular love story, it might just end up being a linear 'point A to point B' kind of story.
But there is conflict here. It's the man's nubile, young daughter, and the girl's father. Therein lies the conflict. The 'taboo' factor, so to speak. And that is where the erotic tension that holds the story together and drives it. Can he resist her? Can she resist him? How will they resolve the conflict? They both know it's frowned on by society, but they also know their passion and lust are also growing as each episode unfolds.
I don't have any personal experience on the subject, but in fantasy, imagine the feelings of temptation both of them are feeling. That is what will make the story hot or not.
Most people would write it like a Penthouse Forum magazine article (PLEASE don't begin the story by saying, "I know most of you will never believe this to be true, but it really did happen to me..."
). Anyone can write a 'he did this, and she did this' story. But reading thru a lot of these stories posted, the writers fail to add that intimate point-of-view that gives the story a heightened sensation of reading erotic fiction. Details and descriptive language are the difference between a good writer and a so-so writer. They just seem to be going thru the motions for a cheap thrill.
Anyways, I mostly wanted to suggest that when writing the story, get into the character's heads and let that eroticism that we all have inside of us come out. You may not have had that personal experience, but from your mind and your fantasies, I'm sure you can come up with a narrative and a point of view that can make a good story an even better one that your audience will enjoy. My best advice to you, just let your creativity flow and have fun with it...

Another detail you need to take into consideration, and be careful about, is the age of said teenage daughter. I mean, if she's 18 or 19 she is a legal adult. Sure, she could have still been living with mom (and therefore moves to dad's place) because she can't afford to live alone, but don't write it like she had to move in with dad because he now has custody of her due to her mother's death...

Hi folks. This is my first post, so be gentle with me.
I'm writing my first erotic novel and was thinking of having it published, but I don't think anyone will do it, for legal reasons.
I'd like to show someone what I've written just for some feedback. I don't want to post it until I've finished. I'm shooting for 90,000 words. I'm about a third of the way.
