In what category should I submit my story?

Hello All,

I hope this question belongs on this board, because, like my story, I wasn't sure where it should go. :)

I'm in the process of finishing up a story about a mfm interracial bisexual threesome. I'm not sure what category it belongs to when I submit it.

It's not a gay male story - there's as much mf sex as there is mm sex.

It's an interracial story, but the races of the people are kinda incidental to the story. It's not the main focus, so I'm not sure it belongs in that category.

I'm leaning towards posting it in Erotic Couplings, because everything that happens is consensual, and it has a happy(ish) ending.

So, any ideas about where my story belongs?

Thanks!

There is no category here for it. I put anything with any combination of MM in Gay Male. I just make the combination clear in the tags. I then have as many reads for that as for GM and I've yet to receive a comment that it would have been received better in another category (and I don't think it would, as there is no provision here for bisexual).

And just as an observation, because I've never written a story with m/m sex in it, if you post a story with MM in it anywhere other than Gay, the feedback doesn't seem to be that good.

Considered recommending Loving Wives but that would just be cruel. :D

I agree with Pilot, the gay male category probably gets read by as many bisexuals as it does gays. ( Folks are kidding about the Loving Wives category...I made that mistake once when it seemed like I was writing about a very loving wife who liked two men - ouch, not nice to m/m at all)

I didn't think about this either. This is a great point.

I just didn't want to be inappropriate and put vagina in the Gay Male section.

I don't want my story to get voted down because there's an extra penis and someone has a problem. I think extra penises are fine...awesome actually. :)

My experience here is that GM readers are more tolerant of an active vagina in a story than either straight or lesbian readers are of MM in a story.

What he said. That was going to be my serious answer but SR beat me to it. But then he is smarter than me. :D
