That's a tough nut to crack. Most people, in most societies, at most periods, are essentially apolitical -- they just want to get along. If they're more or less satisfied, they might not even vote. They can only be politically mobilized if they have some really urgent grievance and perceive it as remediable by political action; and that situation doesn't come up all that often.

America is a country that has always been governed from the center. When you push too far to one side, the people will push back. Conservatives found their issues because you all pushed too far with CRT, defund the police, and transgender kids playing in girls sports. It is not an important issue. Transgenders have had to wait this long for society to start recognizing their rights because there are so few of them. Those there are are not going to have much effect on voting behavior no matter what concessions society does or does not make to them.
