He chased her, watching her dress trail behind her as she went, feet bare and pumping fast against the ground. SHe glanced back, giggling, seeing him gain on her, smiling.
"No," she laughed back at him, "You'll never catch me."
"We shall see, young maiden," he returned, trying to run faster.
The trees rolled past as they went, and only after she slowed and allowed herself to fall gently onto a patch of high, soft grass did he realize they were deep in the Forrest of Denmair. He couldn't have cared less at that moment, however. He fell down next to her, playfully rolling over and carefully laying on top of her delicious frame.
"I do believe I have caught you, maiden," he said, smiling.
"Have you now?" She asked. "Well, I suppose I must do whatever you ask then, yes?"
"Those were the rules," he replied, "Were they not?"
"Yes," she said smiling up at him, "Yes, I do believe they were..."
He leaned his head down and kissed her softly, feeling the odd sensation of eyes upon his back, but ignoring it at first.
SHe kissed him back, pressing her tongue into his mouth. The breeze sifted through the limbs of the trees around them, making the leafless limbs rattle together. She shivered lightly beneath him.
"Ariana," he began, pulling his lips from her. "Would you like my cloak?"
"Yes, inded," she replied. "It is strangely cold ll of a sudden."
He smiled to her then, and said, "Perhaps it will keep us both warm." He pulled it from his back and lay down next to her, laying it over them like a blanket. "Will that do?" He asked then.
SHe smiled. "It will, my young Prince, Jacob."

OOC:
The concept here is that the forrest is "enchanted" and chooses to hold these two lovers, and anyone else who wishes to join captive. JNo, it is not a war-oriented thread, but some fighting would not be frowned too greatly upon. WHatever keeps it interesting. I'll play Jacob, and if anyone wants Ariana, feel free. Also, anyone can join. Just throw out your character and dive right in...

Jacob

They kissed long, touching, and playing, laughing, as the sky above them slowly grew darker. Jacob could not remember a time when he felt so young, so free, as with the girl. SHe was a beauty he'd never so much as fantasized above, a girl he would never have thought would so much as speak to him.
He ran his hands along her legs, touched her cheek as they kissed, kissed the skin of her neck, and felt the warmth of her stomach with his hands.
They lay there until sleep overtook them, then drifted off, dozing i each other's arms.
When daylight woke them, the sun was already climbing the sky, and the air was growing warm.
Jacob sat up, letting the girl rest longer, and looked around. The scene had changed greatly, the trees that had been leafless the night before were now lush with green, and the grass that had been yellow was again growing green and taller. The trees, it seemed had also moved, somehow, or perhaps had just looked different in last night's failing light. They stood around them like tall walls of wood and leaf.
"Where are we?" He asked himself, but no one answered.

Ariana smiled and stretched languorously...

revelling in the warmth of the sun filtering through the canopy of leaves above and the lushness of the grass beneath her. Slowly opening her eyes, Ariana blinked in amazement at what she saw, unsure if she was still dreaming.

The clearing had changed. The trees that had been forbidding and bare of leaves were now resplendently adorned with the most luxuriant foliage. What in the name of the gods had happened here?

"Jacob?" she called out quietly, hoping that he at least would know.

Jacob

"Yes, dear," He replied, his voice heartless. He'd noticed the change in the scenery, and its beauty, but it seemed to him that it was more reason to despair. There was no way out, so far as he could see. It looked as though the trees had not just moved, not just formed walls even, but had formed a maze, leading away in three different directions.
Now how, he thought, will we possibly find our way out of here?

The look of concern on Jacob's face...

did little to quell Ariana's growing curiosity as she moved quietly to his side, slipping her hand into his. Instinct told her that it was magic, but it was the who and the why that intrigued her.

Her eyes searched the edges of the clearing, much as Jacob's did. There were three paths leading from this place, but which to take. Ariana looked askance at her Prince, though she trusted him implicitly.

Jacob sought out the arc of the sun through the trees as Ariana ventured away from him, looking at the plants and bushes that had sprung up while they slept.

"Berries!" she called out excitedly. Her stomach had been grumbling since she woke. It was always talking to her, come to think of it. "I'm starving!" Forming a pocket in her apron, Ariana began to pick some. If only they had cream.

As she picked the berries

he eyed the three paths with concern.
"Perhaps, we aren't where we fell asleep," he said, aloud, not intending to. It made no sense, that they could be moved, or could move themselves during the night...
He looked above, wanting to find something familiar and hoping to at least find a familiar tree.
A crow fluttered its wings as it flew near and perched on a low hanging branch nearby.
"I don't suppose you know the way..." Jacob muttered, smiling to himself.
"Of course not," the bird replied, its voice a rasp more than anything. "The way is ever changing."

Ariana laughed with delight...

Jacob was having a conversation with a crow! "Does he know the way?" she asked in a teasing voice.

"No... He does not." Jacob replied, sounding a little bewildered.

"Silly heart." Ariana grinned and kissed Jacob on the lips before popping a berry into his mouth. "Would you like one as well, Mr. Crow?" The crow cocked his head, as if to get a better look at the maid who was interrupting their little chat, and cawed loudly.

"He said his name is... Fiach," Jacob said in wonderment.

Ariana blinked, looking from her lover's face to the bird and back again. Jacob nodded and tipped his head in the bird's direction. She held her hand out nervously, offering a berry which Fiach took gingerly from her fingers.

"I'm Ariana and this... this is Jacob. It's very nice to meet you... Fiach." Goddess help us, now I am speaking to a bird, too. Ariana couldn't help wondering if the whole of the shire had not gone topsy turvy. What was happening here?

As she fed the bird...

Jacob watched, wondering what was going on? Trees did not just move, on their own, without reason. Or did they have a reason? A less than obvious one, that perhaps meant more to trees than to humans, Jacob thought.
"Ariana," he said. "We should find our way out of here. you're mother will soon notice that you're gone."
But Ariana was too playful it seemed. SHe was taken by the bird, how it ate from her palm, and she repeatedly slipped berries into its beak.
He watched her eye light up as it gently pulled the berries from the surface of her palm.
Beautiful, he thought. Magnificent.
She was as lovely as a dream, if not lovelier.
He stepped over behind her, slipping his arms gently around her waist, making sure to get his hands beneath the apron so as not to smash the berries. He kissed lightly at her neck, looking up at the bird, feeling awkward as it watched.
"Perhaps a moment longer here would not be so horribly bad..." He whispered into her ear.

Ariana closed her eyes...

and leaned back into her lover as his arms circled her waist. She raised her hand to the nape of his neck, pulling him downward, inviting his mouth to nuzzle at her neck.

"Perhaps a moment longer here would not be so horribly bad..." Jacob whispered as he untied her apron and gathered it up carefully before setting it on the ground.

Ariana slipped her hand into Jacob's, following him to the bed where they had lain the night before. His cloak was still spread out on the grassy mound where they had left it and she knelt there, drawing him down to herself.

"Ah, my Prince" she murmured as he covered her mouth with his own. "We have all the moments in the world."

He gripped her hips tightly,

kneeling down before her, kissing her, tongue sliping between her lips, parting them. As I kissed her, I eased her onto her back on the cloak, lowering myself on top of her. I propped my weight on one hand, my left, and moved my right from her hip to her stomach, running my fingertips over the soft but flat surface.
I pull my lips away, shifting my attention to her neck, pressing my lips tightly against it, feeling her pulse beneath them.
"So sweet," the crow notes, "So gentle is he with her...it's like a fair dream it is..."

Jacob caught the hem of Ariana's dress...

pushing it upward as his hand slipped underneath, tracing up her inner thigh. She could feel his manhood pressing hard against her as she unlaced the bodice of her dress. His eyes delighted in the unveiling of the perfect mounds of her breasts, their rosy buds erect and eager for his lips.

Ariana sighed quietly as her lover's mouth brushed over her skin like a velvet caress. His tongue circled her puckered areolae before his mouth enveloped her sensitive nipples. Nibbling gently, Jacob suckled at her breast as she ran her hands over his shoulders and back, gently urging him lower.

Fiach cawed softly, as if in approval, when Jacob's hand at last cupped the damp forest of curls that would lead him to the entrance to Ariana's most intimate of places. A place he had claimed for his own long ago.

As Fiach cawed calmly,

the breeze picked up, sending a slight chill up my pine. The chill left as quickly as it came, though, as I kissed my way down to her stomach naval, darting my tongue in and out of it as I pulled the dress down over her hips.
I sat back on my knees and pulled her dress of of her entirely, laying carefully aside (she was proud of her dresses, I knew) then laying flat between her bare legs and goign back to work on her naval, kissing, licking, sucking the skin around it.
After a moment, i looked up to her, seeing her head laying bac, her eyes closed, her chest rising in heavy breaths.
"What will you have of me now, fair lady?" I asked, smiling.
Again, Fiach cawed calmly, his eyes watching us intently...

"Hmm... " Ariana said with a wicked gleam in her eyes.

"What would I have? Perhaps... some new dresses?"

"Dresses, you say?" A look of indignant shock crossed his face as he started to rise.

Ariana protested, bending her knees up to cradle Jacob between them. "You, my lord. I would have... you."

"You have me already, dear one. Perhaps you would like... "

Jacob returned his lips to her stomach. The musky scent of her arousal enticed him as he blazed a trail of kisses downward. Parting her with his thumbs, Jacob lowered his mouth to taste her.
