Sam held on tight as Kate was overcome by another intense orgasm, closing his eyes and letting her quivering body carry him along with her to that place without space or time. As her shivering subsided he stroked her hair and whispered her name over and over again in her ear.
“I love you too, Kate, I am deeply in love with you,” he countered her declaration of love. Then she snuggled up in his arms and fell asleep. It felt so good to have a woman in his arms again, to feel her warm soft body against his. Sam was quickly asleep also, so deep and restful and undisturbed by dreams.
He wasn’t sure what time it was when he finally opened his eyes. He wasn’t sure what time it had been when they had finally fallen asleep. They had made love for hours and hours, that he knew, so he assumed it must have been quite late. He looked around the room, Kate was nowhere to be seen. He didn’t remember if Brian was coming home in the morning before going to school but he thought he remembered Kate wishing him good luck on his test, indicating he wasn't coming home first.
He went into the bathroom and did a quick birdbath in the sick, washing his face and neck and underarms. He tried his best to straighten his hair so he didn’t look quite so disheveled. Then he pulled on his pants and his shirt and checked himself in the mirror. He smiled and thought he looked good, not bad for an old man. But he also noted that he looked younger this morning, that he looked happy. Yes, he was happy, he thought. The way Kate loved him was intoxicating. But she was right, they were going to have to tell Brian sooner than later. He needed to let her know he realized that now.
He opened the door to the bedroom quietly, listening for any sounds, trying to make sure Brian wasn’t around. Not hearing anything, he quietly made his way down the stairs. As he crossed the living room, he noticed that it had been picked up, his scotch glass from last night was gone. Listening carefully, he heard quiet noises coming from the kitchen. Then his nose picked up the scent of something cooking. He proceeded quietly through the dining room, noticing the table settings for three were still there but they had been straightened up and there were placecards at each seat. Looking more closely he saw one that said “Sam” in a pretty script was at the head of the table, “Kate” was at the end by the kitchen and “Brian” between them. He smiled and slowly pushed the swinging door to the kitchen and peeked around it.
Kate had her back to him, she was at the stove. He wasn’t sure what she was cooking but it smelled delicious. And she looked just as delicious, he thought. She had on a little housedress with straps that left her shoulders and upper back bare, her delicate white skin glistening in the morning sun. It was loose fitting but hung on her round ass so that its perfect shape was clear and the skirt swung every time she moved. She was humming a happy tune as she worked.
Sam came up behind her and put his arms around her waist and leaned down and kissed her neck and shoulders. “Ah, I found you,” he whispered in her ear. “I woke up and you weren’t there and I missed you.” Kate turned her head and he gave her a warm kiss on the lips. “Good morning, Kate, my love,” he smiled.
