In Desperate Need of Feedback for My First Attempt at Fiction

Hey to all who reads this. I had recently submitted a story (my first attempt at writing ANYTHING) and I submitted it (without proofreading, oh how bad of an idea was that). Now, I understand that people don't always get around to critiquing something, but, 6,000+ views, and only one comment?

I don't know whether my story is just that bad or what, but, I kinda expected some criticism, because I really would like to know what things I should fix and what are my strengths (from someone who knows what they are talking about).

If someone could just take the time to give me feedback for this story I would greatly appreciate it, so I could revise it, add parts, take away some and resubmit it.

*note: there is an error near the end where I call Dave Mike, and forgot the explanation as to why Deven calls him that, so, that will be fixed in the resubmission.*

By one comment, you mean private feedback? I don't think one is so unusual. You aren't getting any public comments because you have it turned off.

You seem to be wanting editing advice. Why not head over to the Editor's Forum and ask for help?

LOL, now I feel a little dumb.... no wonder I wasn't getting anything lol. Thank you for pointing that out to me though.

I don't know what the norm is, but so far, for me, 99% of my feedback and comments come within the first 5 days, with the bulk of that coming within 48 hours. Don't know why others who read later aren't motivated to comment, but it sure is the pattern with me.
