Sometimes I don't know why some people on here don't just ignore others. Instead, they feel the need to go to every thread of the poster they dislike and just flame away like childish brats. I suppose it's their right as Literoticans to do so, but it's disheartening to see that some of these posters demand a lot of respect for themselves (not necessarily overtly), and yet consistently show a great deal of disrespect for those they flame.

I've seen so many threads that ppman posts, and he's flamed on every fucking one. Why is this? I don't mean to make an ass of myself, but just because he is mainly a political poster, and just because his political views are not shared by the majority, what right has everyone else got to go to his threads and just bitch about ppman?

Perhaps ppman posts his threads expecting to be flamed. In fact, I'm sure he knows he'll be flamed. But I don't know if he *does* it to be flamed. If he does, so be it. But I just wish people would be more considerate of each other, even if someone holds a different opinion than they do.

In short, I'm sick and fucking tired of people being mean to each other.

Sometimes it's fun to be mean. I don't kick puppies, though. Drown them, yes. Kick them, no.

You get it wrong.

It's pub banter and for the most part most of us have known p_p_ for some time and he gives as good as he gets. Most of it isn't even really mean, just guys digging each other in the ribs.

We simply don't take him any more seriously than he takes himself.

If he wussed out and cried foul, we'd lay off :D !

NOT

:D

Look at the people flaming him. In most discussions they don't engage in that behavior. It's like I had to be told early on, you just don't understand Brit humor. Be patient. It'll sink in after a while...

That is exactly the case Busty. pp is a provocateur. It's his way of getting attention, and it works. He's admitted as much on several different occasions.

He is also a brilliant mind when he wants to use it and when he's not starting his "flamers" will engage in reasoned debate.

But I'm sure that he'll be touched by your concern.

hear hear,

i have debated point for point with the "euro-lush" and i have attacked him with the all mighty flame thrower also. He gives and gets, he gets and gives. He's an adult, he should have a good idea of who would be receptive to a PM, if he discussed something that truly offended him.

p_p is great. He knows what he's doing. He is the master of giving people just enough rope to hang themselves. I know it is easy to look and just see "god they're all just so mean to this guy who is just posting his opinions" but if you watch the bigger picture you can see he has his fun by winding people up and 'forcing' them to try and justify their thoughts and opinions. A living devil's advocate, if you will. Don't cry for him, Argentina - the truth is, he never left you.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. He reminds me of a disturbed kid who sets a building on fire, then watches from a distance, giggling, while everyone tries to put the fire out.

He makes himself a very easy target, and loves it.

Ack!

Don't spoil p_p_man's fun by being nice to him!

He really likes the banter and is sleepiing with GWB.

(A little known secret!)

ppman posts wildly inflammatory threads that insult entire nations and groups of people, advocate assassination of a U.S. president, are racist, and in many cases just flat out false.

He offers little in the way of fact to back up his outrageous claims. Peachykeen might like to call him a devil's advocate, but I tend to think he just gets a hard-on from stirring shit.

BTW, he's just as insulting to his adversaries here as they are to him.

Ditto.

P P Man doesn't post opposing or controversial points of view for debate, he writes "America Stinky" rants that are more draught than thought. He's razzberry-worthy.

Hmmm... so... peepee man does his absolute best to insult and antagonize people here... for his own reasons, whatever they may be. And for rising to those provocations, the people who give him what he is deliberately seeking -- are a bunch of low-life meanies?

Interesting world view. Bizarre, but interesting...

Y'all are giving him waaayyyyy to much power.

Whether you agree with him or not, He's amusing, but that's as much credit as I'll give him.

Oh, and I'm sure he'd be fun to drink with.

Lol...anyone that thinks he doesn't like to stir shit is a touch naive.

I'm not taking that bet. I'm not even going to open the fucking thread.

Pass the tequila.

Well of course he likes to stir shit. I mean, duh! But really, who doesn't? And what's the alternative - NOT stirring shit? How boring.

He enjoys all that stuff, really.

P_P does have strong views about politics and he isn't afraid to shout them across the pond. He's also far more pro-Europe than I can bring myself to be.

That said he rarely does argue his point thoroughly, but I can't remember DCL and the like trying him on any. Perhaps I didn't see it. The middle of a slanging match is not the place to demontrate the finer points of debate. Try drawing him into a debate and you might see better, or not. I'm willing to concede that P_P would never make a diplomat.

Socrates maybe. I can't see his loyalty to what I suspect is a Franco-German self interest group really tallying with refined cynicism. His constant challenging nature recalls the great Athenian scapegoat though.
