In Defense of Building A Pool

I'd like to put in a pool, one of those three and half foot deep jobs that you can build a deck around cause we rent. However, the phrase "attractive nuisance" coupled with set of children age three and four who have the run of the neighborhood and possess fence climbing ability and are described by parents as "full of energy" make such a thing an extreme liability and a lethally dangerous proposition.

We purchased a sprinkler and garden hose instead. No sharks there either.

Noooooooo ......

but it might come in handy for dinner!;)

Has anybody heard an explanation for the elevated number of attacks this year?

More people?

Isn't this the first Shark fatality of the year though?

mounted on the wall in our pool room...does that count?

(we inherited it when we moved in!)

It's last name isn't Perkins is it?

Mutual of Omaha has an APB out for him.

Fatality, yes.

But that is actually random - the others have resulted in loss of limbs and brain damage.

Maybe humans just taste better this year. A bumper crop if you will, a good year...
