I hope it goes to trial because it's a fair bet that the admissability of much of this so called evidence will be questioned. But by the time that happens Petraeus will have been thoroughly trashed - but that couldn't be the agenda, could it?:rolleyes:

To be intellectulaly honest, Petraeus was already fiddling with Broadwell when he was in uniform, and thus broke the Uniformed Code of Military Justice for committing adultery. Not a felony for sure, but still violations.

And as for mispeaking? Well, when you are retired 4-star general, the standard is pretty high.

Basically, he got a slap on the wrist for some pretty heavy duty criminal activity. He should have gone to a federal prison, and NOT Club Fed. Any wrong-doing by Petraeus pales in comparison. :eek:

It really comes down to a few simple realities. Does anyone here know what documents Petraeus is alleged to have passed on to Broadwell? Anyone know what he let loose about during pillowtalk with here, or during other discussions?

Since I'm pretty certain no one here does, trying to downplay Petraeus and his action vis-a-vis Berger is pretty much a political, mental, circle-jerk. Forget Holder, the Justice Department, and the FBI. Those are distractors. Until the raw facts come out (which they most likely won't), no one really knows enough to speak on the gravity of what he did.
