In a Word

I think it's time to write a new story and thought it might be fun to ask not for ideas but for a single word from each of you.

The concept? Give me a single word, only one. Something that will appear in the story I'm writing. It can be a subject, a word to be used in the story, anything. You can request how it's used but I won't guarantee it will be used that way (Consider it a handicap in my favor).

I don't care how many people want to throw in suggestions but remember, you only get one word. Make it count.

I'll let you know when I start writing and won't stop taking suggestions until the story is over. Every single person that throws in their suggestion will get a mention.

This reminds me of that Simpsons episode where Homer was trying to come up with a revolutionary invention, so he got his kids to brainstorm with him by each shouting out a word. I think one of the suggestions they came up with might actually be workable in this situation, too:
