In a Perfect World....

Okay, a lot of us agree that a teleporter would be a big help. So lets get on that! Who understands physics?

No more Sjorgren's Syndrome. Better tips at work. No more rude people thinking that they're better than me because I'm a server in a restaurant. My landlord would get off his ass and fix the door, the stove, the laundry room and the pool, replace the carpet, and fix the leak in the roof.

College would be free for everyone.

People would be rightfully punished for the bad things they did.

Decent haircuts were easy to find and affordable.

Sugar, caffeine, and fat wouldn't be addictive and dangerous.

Maturity and Levelheadedness were a state requirement for having kids.

A weather controlling device would be built to give pleasant weather and plenty of rain for everyone around the world.

Car manufacturers would pull their heads out of profit's ass and make affordable vehicles that didn't run on gasoline.

The government wasn't full of evil people going after personal power and monetary gains and actually DO SOMETHING USEFUL other than point fingers and scream.

Okay, a lot of us agree that a teleporter would be a big help. So lets get on that! Who understands physics?

I do, although plausible methods for teleporting are, well, impossible.

Theoretically, if you go at the velocity of light the universe would be compressed into an infinity small space, and time would stop, therefore you would be in all places at the same time.

Problem is the energy required to attain the speed of light is impossible to produce, unless you had no mass.

Theoretically, if you go at the velocity of light the universe would be compressed into an infinity small space, and time would stop, therefore you would be in all places at the same time.

Then why isn't light in all places at the same time?

Then why isn't light in all places at the same time?

Because its relative, if you are the light particle you are in all places at the same time along the direction of your velocity.

However, if you are an object in the light particles path, then it could take billions of years for it to come from one end of the universe to you.

According to the theory of relativity, the velocity of light is constant relative to any object. If you where to set up a lamp, and try race the light it emits you could never win because relative to you, no mater how much you accelerate, the light is always traveling the (velocity of light) faster then you. However to the lamp standing still the (velocity of light) never changes.

Equation of velocity: V = (change in distance) / (change in time)

If V is always constant, then distance and time must fluctuate, and they do. Hence if you go really, really fast, distance is compressed into a smaller length. Time is also compressed, hence, astronauts age slower then we do, but from their perspective we age faster.

In my perfect world things would be a lot more simple. I'm of the living in the city that you can walk everywhere you want to go. Saying hello to people you see instead of trying to not catch their gaze as they walk past you. With that combined with my family would make my world perfect.
