Today, on the OZ show...

An alarm clock for those people who just cannot wake up...constantly hitting the snooze button...then going on to lose their jobs, miss appts., etc.

This device is a simple cylindrical; about 2 inches in diam. and about 4 inches high.

Here is the beauty in this...

This device serves as a clock..ok. It also has a snooze button..ok.

When the alarm is set to alarm, it goes off

Snoozer (doofus who just can't wake up and continually hits the snooze button hits it.)

The SECOND time it goes off and the snoozer hits it...a clever mechanism ejects itself off the bedside table, STILL RINGING, and rolls, crazy-like across the bedroom floor..

...the snoozer has to get up out of bed and chase it across the floor to turn it off.

hysterical. post your own funny inventions...

Important yet FUN inventions....

[opens sample case] Let me introduce you to Yashida's Sailor Moon Godzilla-Kong 29E, with five speeds, studded segments, jackhammer power, and bidirectional rotary action!

Aren't those Japanese clever?! :)

Of course, like most Japanese products, it is . . . well . . . very successfully . . . miniaturized.

I'll see myself out.

If you lose your job because you can't stop hitting the snooze button then you got way bigger problems than an alarm clock.

this alarm clock was supposed to STOP the behavior...read the op again. :D

I did read it. Doesn't change the fact that someone who can't hold a job because they can't get out of bed is in need of more than a funny clock.
I know it was just an example but I know people like this. Infuriating to say the least.

hmmmm...I suspect we have differing views on "humor".

It's cool.

Also, it's only infuriating when it affects you personally. Otherwise maybe you're just being a thin-skinned bitch.

:)

KingOrfeo....how did you get that tiny txt. I tried. I'm an internet doofus and my reply would have been funnier if I could have done it. sigh.

Humor has nothing to do with it. I get the humor of the invention. I'm commening on the part that said people lose their jobs over a snooze button.

Marketing a device to people who can't hold a job doesn't seem like a winning strategy.

Depending on how pissed off the little bauble me, I might just smash it the first go-round.

Well...I was kinda hoping that people would horn in on some funny inventions.

oh well.

Things have a way of going topsy turvy here, but someone will pull it back together eventually.

Click on "Reply." Above the text-box you will see a dropdown menu labeled "Sizes." Click it and two sets of brackets containing size-instructions will appear in the text-box. Type your text between them. The usual size is 2, the tiny is 1, and you can go as high as 7, which is one larger than 6 as any Spinal Tap fan will tell you.

The problem is that the conditions of the OP are difficult to satisfy. Inventions that are funny are seldom important.
