Importance Placed On Relationships

do you ever get to the point where you believe that too much importance is placed on relationships?

Maybe it's just me, but I tend to think there are other issues and outside stimuli to generate original thoughts in humans. Maybe it is just my pessimistic attitude towards relationships in general? I don't know.

reading over my thread, maybe it is simply that I've given up on the thought of having a meaningful relationship that I tend to get discouraged about threads posted recently.

Maybe it's just Valentine's day? hehe.... Maybe not. who knows?

Nah, I think too much importance is placed on ridiculous dates. Valentine's Day, trumped up anniversaries, stupid things like the 4th month anniversary of the first time we spoke in unison. Stupidity. Valentine's Day, in my unromantic opinion, is an institution that ought to be done away with. If he can't love me like that 365 1/4 days a year, then a day of flowers, candy, and poetry isn't worth it.

Don't get discouraged TN, you'll get your meaningful relationship. Not in time to get flowers that make you sneeze on Wednesday, but you'll get it when it's ready for you and you're ready for it. Someone out there was made just for the purpose of loving you and you were made just for the purpose of loving him. You will find him.

On the stupid day, if it makes you feel better after the hangover, go out and get rip-roaring drunk, whoop it up and have a good time. Someday you'll be attached, enjoy your freedom while you have it.
