so he signs the bill, which includes the $600 personal cheques part, in exchange for a vote on making that $2000 and squishing media protection... knowing full well the house will likely vote the first through but it's highly unlikely the republicans will join forces to bring enough weight in the senate to pass that $2000. christ, they spent months refusing a $1200 cheque, how likely is it now that they'll suddenly fold and pass 2 grand?
an exercise in making himself appear relevant and to be remembered by his faithful followers as 'trying to do something for the people!'. in reality, he caused almost a week's additional stress and concerns amongst those likely to get evicted or lose their unemployment, and signed a bill he should have signed as soon as it was presented him... if he had REAL concerns about getting extra out to 'the people', he could have injected himself into the equation way sooner, or just signed and pushed for further stimulus cheques to be approved once they'd gone out!
all a big show that hasn't really changed a thing. trump speciality.
Mitch reminded Trump about an election taking place soon in Georgia, and about Trump's political irrelevance at this point. The only fools taking Trump seriously now are the dumbest of the dumb.
Soon, Trump will have his hands full with his tax evasion problems. Hopefully the courts can quickly get him charged and deem him as a flight risk before he has a chance to run. Even if he does run, his legacy as a cheating traitor will become more apparent with every passing year.
LTR just told me that because he ddin't sign it until Sunday a shitload of people got kicked off UI on Saturday. Seriously, this fucker is just bad ad presidenting.
