Jeff Landon, actually Geoffrey Percival Landon the third, by birth, was of old British service stock. In fact, his grandfather was the head butler of some old duchess or something, the man was quite proud of it too.

Anyway, Jeff, he prefered, Jeff, was raised to be versed in every manner of household service, the cooking, the cleaning, managing a team of house servants. Seeing to the needs of his betters, seeing to every need. He was sent to culinary school, learned house keeping from the best of his grandfather's staff and most importantly, learned how to keep his masters internal matters behind closed doors.

He was the perfect fit for this ad:

Woman of means, seeking servant.
Duties include: cooking, cleaning and time management.

He set the ad down on the passenger seat and pulled up to the gates of a posh looking mansion. He rolled down his window, by hand and pressed the intercom button, noticing a camera whirring it's way to focus upon him.

"Ello, ma'am, my name is Geoffrey P. Landon, the third." He wasn't above using his name to get a foot in the door. "I am here about the ad in the paper, you are still seeking a house keeper, I do hope?" He leaned back in his seat and looked up at the camera.

Selena took a deep breath as she sat and relaxed, wondering if anyone was ever going to respond to her add. Right before there was a voice coming through the intercom and Selena made her camera whir to watch him, narrowing her eyes for a second. He was cute, but could he actually fit what she needed? Selena decided to give him a chance and talked. "Welcome feel free to come inside." Selena then pushed a button and the gates opened and Selena stood and in her casual clothes, consisting of a black snug shirt and black jeans went to the kitchen, sitting on a stool which had perfect view of the door, the kitchen being right off of it.

"Thank you, Ma'am, I shall be at your service in just a moment or two." Jeff replied, pushing the button to speak even ad the gate began to open for him. He drove slowly up the long path to the front of the spectacular modern mansion, taking it all in with a whistle of awe. "My, my, quite extravagant, I must say." He said to himself as he parked and turned off the engine of his car. Stepping out, he grabbed his portfolio and made his way up to the front doors.

He stood there for a moment to catch his breath and compose himself a bit. He had no idea what to expect, but he sure hoped she would hire him. He knocked, even though she had given him permission to enter st the gates, he wasn't comfortable just walkin right in.

Selena smiled as the guy knocked and pushed another button on her tablet so the door opened and she saw him. "Welcome, come in and make yourself comfortable." Selena got off the stool and studied him before trying to get into his mind, inwardly frowning as she saw she couldn't. What the hell was this? She couldn't read him, well wasn't this just great. ugh. Selena quickly shook herself mentally and smiled. "So you are here about the job correct? Do you have anything to show me? I would like to see that before talking." Selena smiled brightly and tried using a charm, almost frowning again as it didn't work but she managed to keep her smile in place.

"Why, thank you, miss?" He asked, quite surprised by how young and beautiful this woman was. He has been expecting an old woman. "That I am, erm... Show you? What do you mean, ma'am? I can cook you a meal, if that's what you mean. I've been trained by one of the best. Anything else I can do?" He was a bit thrown off by her question, unsure what she expected him to show her, other than his culinary skills.

Selena giggled as Geoffery called her miss and smiled. "You can call me Selena if you want Geoffery. Things that I'm talking about is like what you would bring to a normal interview, like maybe you wrote down other jobs where you had done similar things." Selena's eyes brightened as he mentioned a meal. "A meal would be fantastic actually. I am horrible at cooking and always buy take out or go out. A home cooked meal sounds wonderful and it would help me decided if I want you." Selena then sat back on a stool and pointed at the kitchen. "You'll find anything you might need, I keep them just in case someone comes over and actually knows how to cook." Selena then looked down at her tablet and started doing things on it, expecting the new guy to go and start.

"Miss Selena, it's a pleasure to meet you, you were not at all what I was expecting." He lifted his portfolio bag and smiled. "Oh, of course! Here it all is! My entire background, everything you could possibly wish to know about my abilities. Please, do peruse them at your leisure, Ma'am!" He placed the neatly formatted files and documents of his past work and training in a stack on the counter next to her.

"It would be my pleasure, cooking is a favorite passion of mine." She said that she had a well stocked kitchen, that was the very next thing he wax about to ask, so he was pleased by her preparedness. It would be an absolute pleasure to work for her, he could tell. "Splended! In about an hour or two, I will roll out anow exquisite three course meal just for you! Ahem, you don't happen to have any allergies or specific preferences of food you would care to share with me be for I go to it, would you? I'd hate to make you a seafood diner that you can't enjoy, after all.

Selena was very happy already with this guy, not even caring that she couldn't read his mind now, because of how he had prepared everything. Well this was going to be fun and interesting at least. Selena looked through the files as he spoke and was impressed, he had all the skills she needed and had no criminal background or anything that would make him a bad choice. Selena was thinking this would actually be a good fit and if she couldn't see into him... well this might just be her lucky day. Selena then smiled and chuckled. "Oh I'm sorry. I almost forgot. Well I don't have any food allergies but I don't like spicy food and except for corn and mashed potatoes I don't like cooked vegetables. Also the exotic foods I tend to stray from like octopus and squid. I love meat though and seafood is like my favorite though crab and shrimp are the highest. Also I have paticular tastes on sushi so until another time I would like you not to do that but I love most other Japanese food. Also no ketchup or mustard on anything, except if you made meatloaf ketchup is okay on that. Also it would be better if you wrote this all down, sort of a picky person. Also favorite meat is chicken though again, I love meat, except for turkey." Selena then looked guilty. "Sorry, very picky person right here."

"Good, good, thank you! Here, let me get all of this down, please?" Geoffrey pulled out a small note pad and pen from his breast pocket. "Excellent, excellent!" He was thrilled to hear her preferences. "We will have to define your idea of spicy. I know some who can't handle black pepper. Ah, yes, I am the same, I don't like cooked vegetables, it kills the value of them. How about raw? To dip and nibble on? Is that to your liking? Or don't you care for vegetables at all?"

He chuckled at the mention of calamari. "Oh, that's good, I am not confident in my ability to prepare Calamari anyway. Do you have shrimp? Perhaps I can make a sweet coconut, rum glazed shrimp for you? Or would you prefer something more savory?" He jotted down more notes. "Hold off on sushi, check."

He tried not to laugh, stifling it with the back of his hand over using ketchup or mustard. "Understood. I promise, I never use ketchup, on anything. However, I know how to craft supurb sauces using mustard, rich with flavor. Not the sour I'm sure you're thinking of. And unless you specifically ask for meatloaf, I assure you, I would never insult you by presenting you with one."

"No turkey? Am I to assume that you wouldn't care for duck, pheasant or other game bird as well? If it is not too presumptuous, is it simply the richer, fatter meat? Because I know ways to balance out such things. I won't prepare them as per your request, but it is a possibility it you ever care to be more... adventurous."

" Oh, no, not at all, on the contrary, I find your directness quite refreshing. I admire a woman who knows what she wants set before her."

Selena smiled as Jeff and nodded at the vegetables. "I actually like raw vegetables. Brocoli, carrots, celery. Love tomatoes, especially the little cherry ones, they are so good in a salad with mushrooms and black olives with red onion and italian dressing. It's actually the only think I know how to make since everything is already done, just put what you want in the salad." Selena then went pale at the mention of coconut. "Please no coconut, I hate the taste, very bad idea." Selena then smiled. "Though something more savory is good and please don't add alcohol to things, it tends to ruin them." Selena then was amused. "Hmmm, I'll take you up on that sauce idea." Selena then laughed. "You wouldn't offend me with a meatloaf but I do like more elegant tastes." Selena then though. "Hmmm, I actually love chicken but I have never had duck. I love chicken wings legs and thighs and a good baked breast is good but sometimes it is dry to the taste. It's really only turkey that I have found I don't like." Selena then gave an amused smile. "Well how about you take my tastes and cook a meal, but just to say for the spicy thing, I can handle chips with a mild dip but that's about as spicy as I can go, that should give you a good idea on it."

"Oh, I love cherry tomatoes! Stop, please, you're making my mouth water here, I'd rather not drool in front of you on my first day, talk about bad first impressions, right?" He paused. "Mmm, how do you feel about sautéed mushrooms and onions over steak though? I know, cooked vegetables, right? But you know, nothing soaks in the flavor quite like mushrooms."

"Oh, whew, I'm glad you told me before I made that. It's a mild flavor, more of a cream sauce really. But it is sweet, so I can understand, I don't much care for sweet in meat dishes myself, but I thought, with its richness, you might enjoy it." He pondered even more then. "Okay, I will do my best to avoid using alcohol in your meals, but you know that it is an important part of a lot of sauces and bases, right? I'm sorry, I don't mean to be contrary, but it will be hard to make you some of the more... elegant dishes I know without."

"Good, I shall focus on more savory meals for you then. Oh, I would be honored to make you a special sauce! It would be my absolute pleasure to do so, Ma'am!" He didn't realize how that could be taken in a lewd way, in fact, he would realize until later in the night, just before he drifted off to sleep. "Oh! Chicken wings! What a fine idea! And a spectacular way for me to show you my range! It will also help me hone in on your particular pallette for the future! A soup, salad, a variety of flavored wings for you to sample.... oh, how about a delicious bacon wrapped steak with a very mild mustard, horseradish, mayo sauce on the side? And... what would you like for desert?"

Selena laughed. "Drool if you want, doesn't bother me any." Sasha then sighed and listened to him talk then put a finger to his lips. "First off all, wasn't what I was saying. There are a few vegetables that I liked cooked. Mushrooms, onions and corn. Those are the ones that don't get mushy and Mushrooms are yummy anyway and even better cooked and sauteed and I actually like sweet things but also savory things. I would like to taste this mild creamy sauce." Sasha then smiled. "Next issue is entirely my fault. I thought that you had more elegant tastes since you said about the meatloaf and I tried to appeal to that though more refined meals can be a blessing at times I don't need them. I actually tend to like some of the more homey meals that aren't so refined and elegant. Also I would like to taste all these sauces, you might have to cook more then one meal today for me before I decide." Sasha then took her finger off his lips before continuing to talk. "I actually like your last idea the best but forget that one last sauce because mayo isn't my thing either and neither is horseradish but go with that mild creamy sauce unless it is the one that has the coconut. Steak sauce though might be good. How about you make that last meal but also do a second steak with the sauteed mushrooms and onions and don't worry about me not being able to eat it. I actually can eat quite alot."

"I..." Geoffrey didn't quite know what to say when she gave him permission to 'drool'. He fell silent as she placed her finger to his lips. Her light touch did something to him, making him squirm a bit to try and hide his sudden arousal toward her. "More is better..." he whispered, liking the thought of cooking more than one meal for this woman. He tried to think of other ingredients he could use to make similar sauces to what he was thinking of originally. "Marshmallow cream might make a reasonable sub for coconut. I don't want to cheat you out of a new taste experience... you might like it. No mayo or horse radish, I promise. Garlic, ginger, cilantro... are those okay?" He was still getting a feel for her particular pallette, eager to please her. "If you enjoy home cooking, I know many of the standard fare there, too, I just thought you would prefer richer meals, I presumed. Country fried steak is one of my personal favorites to make, actually. With rich, sausage gravy."

Sasha smiled and listened to him. "I actually love marshmallow cream, funny thing is I sometimes eat it right out of the container, in small portions of course. Love marshmallow anything really, though flavored marshmallows aren't really the best. Small marshmallows in hot chocolate though, mmm. Oh sorry off subject." Selena giggled a bit before going back to the actual subject. "All those 3 things are good, oh also I don't like the cinnamon flavor in things, some is okay but if the flavor stands out, nah." Selena then smiled. "I actually like country fried steak with sausage gravy and I really have a wide range in the styles of dishes, just picky on flavors and what's in it. I like some sweet dishes, richer ones, savory and even homey stuff. Tell you what, you make the things that are in what I like and don't even think of if its rich or homey or anything like that and I'll tell you if I don't like it or not? That's better anyway since homey meals can be really good and elegant and elegant and rich meals can make you feel all warm and cozy like how you feel in a good home." Selena then giggled. "I said I was a bad cook and the truth is I am but I study, just kind of haven't had time to really practice cooking really."

"Excellent! Marshmallow creamed shrimp it is then! A variety of wings... salad, that's easy... bacon wrapped steak, country fried steak... and for desert... a special secret! I'm on this! You go, do your thing and I'll call you when everything is ready! Oh, what fun! Itso like a cooking show!" He laughed and went to make everything up for her.

An hour and a half later, he was ready for her to start tasting his work. Not all of it was done, but by the time she got to the parts that still needed to cook, they would be ready for her. "To start you off, ma'dam, a sampling of marshmallow creamed shrimp!"

"And a lite salad!"

"I'll have a variety of wings for you in just a few minutes. I just have to plate them up yet."

Geoffrey returned a few minutes later and sat a neatly arranged Plate of three different flavored wings to the side.

Selena smiled as Jeff was really excited and was licking her lips even as she waited at the dining table, sipping a glass of white wine while she waited. By the time he was done she was really hungry and smiled at the shrimp, it looked so delicious she almost drooled but kept herself in check, thankfully being able to do so even after she looked at the salad. She started digging in immediately and was bursting with happiness. "Mmmmm, this is soooooooooo good! I've already decided. I'm keeping you even if just for your cooking." She then ate the salad and the wings, loving how yummy it all was. "Those were delicious, I think I'm addicted already."

"Oh, but we aren't nearly done! You have your two entrees to sample and a surprise for dessert! And here... they... are!"

And about fifteen minutes after that, he brought out a covered tray. "Are you ready for your dessert?!" He asked, beaming with joy. This last treat was probably the most humorous thing he had ever made.

He just hoped she thought it was funny.

Selena smiled happily as Jeff said they weren't done and brought out the bacon wrapped steak and she licked her lips, happily digging in and once again mmmming at the taste. It was soooo freaking good! This guy was a prodigy. Even if he went to the best culinary school food that tasted THIS good had to be a natural talent! Selena finished the steak quickly and then went to the country fried one and ate it too. Mmmmm sooo good again. Oh how she could get used to this. Selena was smiling brightly but froze as she saw the desert before breaking into a smile. "IT'S SOOOOOOOOOOO CUTTEEEEEE!!!!!" Selena giggled happily, it was so darn cute! Sasha quickly bit into it and mmmed in pleasure at how it tasted, delicious. "You have to work for me! Please say you will, I love this food!" Sasha quickly ate it, bursting with happiness.

Jeff clapped his hands in glee as she laughed over his special desert. It was a huge risk, he had no idea how she felt about snakes, but he had made it purposefully comical looking for that very reason, hoping that even if she did happen to have a fear of them, she would still find it oddly charming. That was the best way to discribe himself, oddly charming. "It would be an honor and an absolute pleasure to work for you, Miss Selena! When do I start?"

Selena smiled as Jeff clapped his hands. "Right now, you are going to get familiar with the house, follow me." Selena got up and taking her glass of wine she slowly sipped it before walking out of the kitchen and into the living room, a very big and cozy room with a soft brown couch two chairs and a glass table in the middle with a flat screen TV on the wall directly from the couch with surround sound and a stereo. It had Netflix, Pandora and a browser on it and Selena clicked it on with the remote she held and showed him. "This is the living room and the TV has everything you could possibly want, you can even set up a Pandora account on it and get your own Netflix station to watch what you want." Selena smiled and then went from the living room and went to the staircase, going up it and at the top she went to the right, going all the way to the end before talking at a door that was at the end, where she could go right into the hallway. "This is my room, do not enter for any reason. Whatsoever. You can knock if you need anything and I will hear it. Your room is right here. Unless you aren't going to be living here that is, though that makes things a bit harder. I get up early and stuff." She pointed to the door to the left a little ways. "For right now that is it, the other things we can show once you are settled in, if you are moving in or tomorrow if you aren't. Follow me and if you have any questions you can ask them once we are downstairs, also I'll tell you my schedule, I have tomorrow off thankfully." Selena then smiled and went downstairs, sitting on the couch and patting beside her for him to sit down so they could talk and he could ask questions if he wanted. She really wanted to get to her room though for the night, her contacts were starting to bug her, at least they made her look normal though.

"Stupendous!" Jeff breathed out, taking in the richness of Selena's home. "Marvelous!" He went to the door of his room and peeked in. "This is just all, almost too good to be true! I thank you Miss selena! You've given me a home and a purpose! I will not fail you, it is my greatest Honor to serve you." Her patting the spot next to her for him to sit surprised him. "Mum? Is it proper for me, your servant, to sit so close to you? I would not want people to talk. You seem a bit... nervous... is something the matter?"

Selena smiled as Jeff praised her and her home. "It's alright I'm glad you are happy. Happy worker makes for things done well. Unhappy worker, not such a good thing." Selena then shook her head. "Oh it's fine. The media knows not to spy on me, it doesn't end well. Also just call me Selena. I'm fine, I just am tired, not nervous." Selena then smiled, wanting to tear out the contacts but consoled herself by saying she just needed to last a little longer.

"Happy? I'm astounded!" He glanced about, still uncertain if he should accept her offer, but joined her on the couch, folding his hands politely in his lap. "Selene." He added with a nod. "I should not trouble you further then, unless there is some other service I might do for you, mu... I mean... Selene. A relaxing massage perhaps? Day or night, I am at your service."
