I like nothing better than the exchange of thoughts and dreams. I am a 30 year old male looking for a woman who enjoys exciting correspondence.

For whom excitement can see so electric as you a crisp unopened letter in your hand. The excitement of realising it is a personal letter, trying to recognise the handwriting. the sound of the envelope tearing as you gently open it. Unfolding the letter within. The rich warm of the high quality paper against your finger tips. That secret smile that forms on your lips as you instantly recognise the handwriting. Sitting back on a chair or sofa as you allow the words to wash over you. Causing you to feel things, imagine things, dream and remember. The knowledge that each letter, each word has been scribed with love and affection. all of it just for you.

After you have finished reading it you can fold it up, knowing that whenever you want to recover those feelings you can get it out and reread it. Always knowing that this person took the time to create something just for you.

Sadly, the art of the handwritten letter seems to be one that is fast fading into the past.

Nice to see that it's not completely unappreciated.

I agree with YourEagerToy. (hello there, YET!)

E-mails, text messages, PMs and IMs are okay for our fast-paced lives, but it's still nice to get a handwritten letter, card or postcard once in a while. Nothing beats the anticipation of opening a letter or a card, or receiving a postcard, and knowing that someone cared enough to write you by hand and post it. :)

Oh, yes!

I concur with you. Real correspondence mandates time, thought, and caring. And, the anticipation of receiving a written testament to those is beyond measure. There's no attaching a real rose petal to an e-mail.

There is something so uneditted about a real letter that makes it come straight from the heart

Have you ever read the Griffin & Sabine books by Nick Bantock?? It details correspondence by the mysterious Sabine to Griffin. As you turn each page in the book, you are either reading a postcard or physically opening an envelope & removing an actual letter to read. Most voyeuristic and enthralling.

I will look out for them.
Thanks for the tip!

question...

Are you proposing to find a long distance love -- a pen pal, real letters?

Just curious

I am not sure I would be comfortable with giving out my real address. But I am happy to exchange a few emails and see how things go. I enjoy thoughtful emails too..
