Images in Sig Line

I tried to put an image in my sig line. I used the img tag but when I viewed it it was a link to the image instead of the actual
image.

Then I noticed that is said IMG code is off on my edit profile page. Is there a way I can change this or am I just doing it wrong?

There are numerous examples of the syntax to use the HTML image source command in your signature line in the thread "Test Your Posting Here" or a very old thread of mine named "Experiment in Progress," specificlly related to using an attachment as the source.
