away from the casual glances and sunshine

to close on an image of majesty.
Unfortunately the eyes of fish are too

Third point of business...You can't be YDD because I'm YDD. I'm a real bitch that lives to comment on nearly every poem posted and I know how much people hate honesty, but that's all I had to give at the time. I'll work on lying through my teeth and praising every damn poem that rolls before my eyes as I scroll the new list...even the ones that could benefit from an honest critique.

Unlike the other people on this thread, I am NOT YDD.

Having said that, why is this thread and not on Poetry feedback? He or she writes perfectly ordinary and reasonable critiques of poetry, which is the purpose of the PC. So far there have been two on poetry submissions of mine, and both were negative but I don't mind. Neither poem was anything to take seriously anyhow.

YDD has commented on one of my pieces of writing... I found the comments useful - I have learned to read more into feedback/reviews.

I get the impression that YDD knows something of what he/she comments on. I also note that the few comments I've seen YDD make, have been on the writing, not on the author.

Isn't that a good reason for writing, to have someone notice that we have written and to comment on that writing?

I have a PLAN!

I have been lurking here for a while, so I'm not a newbie. I have a thought out plan.

I have seen all the "Discussions" and flame wars about those few not-so-nice people who give a 1 or 2 vote on poems or stories that are deserving of much better scores, and how much those lowball votes can hurt. Many people have been hurt or damaged by those votes. This is not about the insensitive, though often accurate PC's with the 50% rating. That is another issue!

Here's the plan:
Whenever and wherever someone, some otherwise good writer or nice person, has been lowballed or flamed by some person with only 3 initials or other anonymous identity, there is a way to overcome it!
It only takes 7 each "5" votes to overcome a "1" vote and raise the score to an "H"!!!!! Do the math: 7x5+1/8= 4.5

SO, when this happens to some nice person, at least 7 of you nice people rush over to their story or poem and give them a "5".
Then the scores can moderate back to a real score plus or minus 4.5, depending on how good the work really is.

1982, maybe you really ARE YDD, since your poems don't get trashed like others!?
