With half the year gone, I've got 58 points - although some stories haven't been posted yet - and jthserra's got 400 something. This is ridiculous...

There's no way I'm going to sit and write enough stories to get 400 points in the few months that are left. I've got a life, you know.

I'm pulling myself out of this contest. You may delete my scorecard.

This is what I posted in the Survivor Forum a minute ago. Telling it here as well, just to give a shout and draw a little more attention to myself.

Growing up, eh?
Next thing you know you'll be old, like me, and realise that these point scoring games are for children. Incidentally that's why they call them Brownie Points, girls only and you leave the organisation at 11 years old.

Personally I'm staying in for the futility. Wonderful, wondeful futility. Plus, it's really training my speed writing reflex which is most of why I joined up.

Still...it's good of someone to point out how ridiculous the top scores are right now.

Is this because of your new status as a worker?

How's the job going?

Jeanne (or Og)

It's like a roller coaster - it goes up and down, and I scream and I laugh. I've had a low period for some time now, selling very little. My coworkers tell me not to worry, people are on holiday, so that's why it's impossible to reach them, but I'm still a little concerned. Since I din't get that other job I applied for, I really want to lengthen my contract after August. I don't make any money, really, but it's a fun job, and I like my coworkers, they're nice and funny and we get along great.

Today, however, I sprung back into my old selling style, and sold 7 computer games in one evening. And the first call I made, the woman didn't speak Swedish - she was American, I believe - so I had to do the whole sales routine in English and translate from the sales list! I must have done a great job, because she did buy a game from me. And my coworkers were impressed that I didn't stutter.:nana:

 right back at you two!

Ello you Scandinavian beauty... you could sell me anything any time... in any language:rose:

As Snooper said love... welcome to the real world where brownie points aren't the be-all end-all... Sell your games, and write your stories at your pace love.

It actually feels nice to write because I enjoy it, and not so I may win money.

I'm even going to write a little somehting for Black Snake's site.
