A humongous problem within the federal government is that whomever is elected President usually comes to consider himself larger than the Office itself, regardless of all the psuedo-humbleness they pimp for charading effect.
Donald John Trump seems to be one who could possibly be the mother of all psuedo-humblers, someone whose ego may be, in fact, far, far too large for the White House and all of its Wings. If that eventually reveals itself to be the case, Trump will be fortunate to make it through these first fours years, for his betrayal will cost him almost all of the support he won November 8.
His core support elected him to clean America's Leviathanian federal government up, and they will not settle for anything less than him keeping his word: at the very, very least, trying as hard as he characteristically flouts. Now, with his acknowledgement, his doubling-down with, "I'm the messenger," he's further committed his entire political future to the very ones who voted, You're hired!
Checks and balances, Mr. Trump: your first true day at work for America awaits you. You don't need to tell it anymore how "Great" you're going to "Make" it: just do it - or else.
