I'm sure most of you are sick of my questions by now...

Sorry. :( But I was wondering about something. It's been a while since I've submitted my newly edited story (yes, the same one story). It's been "viewed" 3 times so far. Does anyone know how long it takes before the newer story takes the place of the old one?

Thanks. :)

Some of your questions can be answered at www.literotica.com/faq

This one, no. It can take up to two weeks. The views are, most likely, you opening your own story. Occasionally, she might look into a story before it moves into its place on the list, but usually she doesn't.

If you are looking at your story, and you do press "submit" it will end up at the back of the list again.

I had a poem online 24 hrs. after submission. The stories have taken 3-4 days. However, my stories are very short, perhaps that has an impact on the time.

As for being sick of you asking questions, I learned a very important lesson a few years ago, in Aikido training. Me and my friend felt a bit awkward asking silly questions all the time, having to rely on the elders for their advice and expertice, and feeling a bit bad about not being able to give them anything back. When i mentioned this to a guy who had been training for several years, he looked at me, and said that I was wrong.

"You DO give us something back," he said. "You make us learn how to be good teachers."

That's the way it works. When we are new to something, we ask tons of stupid questions, because we don't know this or that, but we want to know, we want to understand. We're greatful that the elders are patient with us and explain everything to us.

Then we mature, learn all the tricks, and suddenly, there's a new beginner, who asks the same questions WE were asking waaaaaaaaay back in time.

And this is when we pay back our teachers' patience and kindness, by being patient with the newbies, and explaining everything they want to know.

It goes around. A positive circle.:)

When I'm teaching, be it flying, computers, or whatever, I tell any student: "There are no dumb questions, but there are silly mistakes." It's My way of pointing out, that there is always room to improve how we present information.

Dear Sail,
I wish I'd had you as a flight instructor. Mine was the "shut up and fly the damn thing" type.

Ps. Watch yer six.

I've been told it's like 'two cats in a sack,' but I've never figured out whether that's a compliment.

I'm not familiar with that particular expression, but I'm sure it must have been complimentary

Thanks for the help. :) I haven't viewed my story at all since I posted it. I read in one of the other threads that the "views" were from Laurel.

This isn't a "regular" story, it's a resubmit of an edited one. :)
