I did the stupidest thing today. But good news for you (or not) is that I'll probably be on the boards more in the next few days, once the painkillers kick in. Here's what happened.
I was bringing my rabbit in from the porch today, and when I turned around to set her down, I took a step or something (I'm still not sure what happened, exactly) and hit my knee on the edge of the door frame. Ouch. Yeah, we've all done it. So after I stopped screaming and swearing and could walk again, I put some ice on it. All is well, ergo a little sore, until I get to work study today. Every step feels like my knee cap is slipping, and there's the grinding sensation along with it. My knee is also way too swollen and sore to have just bumped it, even as hard as I did. Enter hospital. Diagnosis? I split my knee cap clean in two. It's not displaced, so I'm in a brace type thing instead of a plaster cast, but I'm still off my sticks for 6-8 weeks. I feel like such a damn schmuck.
