For one thing, the person starting a thread isn't so conspicuous as they were.

There seems to be a few more bells and whistles too. The search isn't as good though.

Now that the Retro skin is here, i'm much happier.


I haven't paid any attention to the bells and whistles. I never used most of the old ones, either.

Retro skin? I'm using Imagize Fixed. Is there another skin closer to the old?

And, speaking for the new way...I had to change several things on my computer to accomidate it. I don't like change. There are still things on my computer I need to finish, and I don't have the time. These changes weren't necessary without the new version of the forum software.

But, change is necessary sometimes. It would have been nice to know this change was coming, though. That would have helped in my situation. The way it turned out, I couldn't even see the threads without spending hours of time changing things on my computer.

Now that we are over the hump, I don't mind the new version so much. I do think the smilies are crappy, and I don't like the search function. I like having more visible notification that my PM box is getting full, though. That is nice.

But, with the new version, I've noiticed I'm not always notified when someone posts to a thread I'm registered to. That never happened with the old version, if I remember correctly. Maybe it's just a bug that's going to be worked out.

Time heals all wounds, I guess. I'll survive this, too. Would someone please pass the Neosporin?

I like this one a bit more in some ways than the old, the search function bites monkey balls, but I like being able to go to my buddy list from anywhere on the board instead of having to go to my user cp. There are a few other things I dont mind, the more user friendly way of posting pics is helpful, considering i never did figure that out before, no matter how many times i visited the how to boards.

But there again, I am a creature of habit, I hate change, throw tantrums when anyone mentions rearrainging furniture lol, so this is still taking a bit of getting used to.
