So I'm sitting hre watching Cousteau Oddesy and shaking my head.

You have to remember these were taped in 1978 or earlier. The gear they are wearing is ancient and yet much of it still works. This as cutting edge and old Jaques was showing us something that very few ever had the chance of seeing.

Can any of you who are divers imagine diving without a BC? Using a Reguator with both stages behind your head?

Some of the things they do are against our codes today, things like breaking pieces off a reef and collecting corals, but even so.

To watch this is to remember my boyhood and the reasons I got into diving oh so many years ago.

I'm in love with this all over again.

*thinks "Or was that National Geographic Explorer?"*
